Game List

Trinsec

Mrm, short. Way too short to even pay for it.

Kind of a mix of Princess Maker and anime novel-games, with RPG elements.

As a school girl at a magical school you get to decide what to do every day. Go to class, go study, go sleep or go to gym. Plenty of events show up where you can make additional decisions, some with quite interesting results. You decide which magic disciplines you will improve at, each having their own strengths. Some magic spells might be more useful than others for certain challenges you'll face.

You'll interact with the other students around school, where some try to be interesting or just mysterious. There's some highlights in the conversations, and some lines are loaded with sexual innuendo, especially when taken out of context. Which is, likely, very much so the intention of the author.

So far the game's amused me and it's easy to go play for a few hours nonstop just advancing the story and thinking of what your next step will be. It's just silly fun.

Definitely one of the weirder adventures around. Weird in a good way. Inadvertently killing people left and right. Getting hypnotized to not be able to do certain things, which you try to overcome. And all with utterly good intentions. Kind of. The plot slowly unravels. I wonder how many people will be alive at the end.

Pax Galaxia on steroids, and multiplayer capable. Heck, what's not to like about this?

If you see me as playing Oblivion, think of me as playing Nehrim instead. I'm not playing Oblivion as I'm not terribly impressed with that game world and mechanics. Nehrim, on the other hand, is a complete overhaul of the Oblivion engine and assets. It's a whole different game you'd be playing.

I've played Nehrim a while ago, and am replaying it. It's a very long storyline. The game's pretty focused on the story, so you feel motivated to figure out where to go next. It's originally German, but the English update gives it English subs. As far as I know, it's still spoken in German. Not a problem for me, though! You'll notice some German text here and there, but most has been translated fine.

If you're interested in Nehrim, you can get more info at http://www.nehrim.de/startEV.html

Was pretty close to trying this out until I stumbled on this:
http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20121127/14455221158/game-maker-studio-drm-misfires-permanently-replaces-created-game-resources-with-pirate-symbols.shtml

Um... yeah. Ok. No. Ridiculous DRM that can affect your game files if you even have as much as a simple virus or anything else that could maybe mod your executables? Um. I'll pass.

Oh! Glad to see that it got a gajillion subtitle languages available. :D

Rofl, this got on Steam now as well? Well, it's a small nice easy game. Okay, maybe not as small anymore as during the beta I played. It's very action-packed, lots of running around, and it is extremely grindtastic as it should be for a Korean style MMO. Too grindtastic for me, otherwise it's a reasonably amusing game. I wonder how outdated it is now after.. what.. 7 years already? Whoa, time flies.

The only thing I can come up with is: Fucking sucks.

This game is way too oddly amusing.

For those who know what I'm referring to: This game feels like aspace with a crew, mostly the ship management side of things. Power reroutings of your subsystems and such. All graphical too.

And then on top of that feel, it is a bit like a roguelike game. Win-win!

This is a freaking ridiculously stupid game. :P I don't exactly /recommend/ it, no. But if you're really into this sort of stuff...

I might play this someday when I'm really bored. But it is still a stupid game!

If you've got a game controller (like the Xbox 360 controller), this game's actually a lot of fun. Quick little time-waster there. It's just straight and simple arcade, shoot the blobs, avoid them, and just rack up points. Graphically it's nifty. I only wish it'd remember my graphics setting (resolution) though..

It rocks. Seriously, it does. Puzzle, logic, action? Oh gods, get this. The single player storyline is superb and kept me glued to the screen 'til the bitter end.

Gameplay is fairly unique. Puzzles are decent and requires some thinking but definitely not impossible. You feel like 'what the hell is going on in this world' and explore, getting further and further up, trying to disable the baddies and to escape this insanity. The comments given by the robots are at times hilarious, and man... robots can be so mean!

A fairly standard tower defense with a handful of maps. The achievements are rather boring, but there's not much to this game either. Fun to kill time with, though. Graphically it's decent. Just wish this has more options.

The 'multiplayer' listed in this game is apparently only for local multiplayer. Not online. Boo, missed chance there.

If you like Portal (2), Qube.. those kind of games.. Then chances are that you'll love this one. This doesn't handle portals, neither does it handle cubes... instead, this handles GRAVITY dimensions! Fluffy! Heavy! Inbetween! It's quite a quantum conundrum! Tip: Watch all those in-game paintings in all dimensions!

Interesting and unique game. Just the Games for Windows Live is ruining it nicely. What a cumbersome way to just play the damn game already. If you are not deterred by this: Rather nice game, not too hard. Maybe even too easy. But the art style is superb.

Not sure how to describe this game.. but it's a special kind of puzzle game that you'll revisit older levels often enough to improve it even more. At first you just want to get the level done. But then you compare it to other people's scores, and try to use less and less resources to get the same result. It can get very tricky indeed as you're on your path to efficiency.

Game is really nifty. Uses liquid physics, so sometimes it can feel a bit slow on the screen. But so far this is a puzzle platformer with darn nifty graphics and the liquid stuff is pretty damn nice. Every room is a 'session', if you die, you just restart at that room basically. So, really a puzzle game.

Go try the demo out first if you want, I did as well, then took advantage of the sale on the creator's site as that was cheaper than Steam's sale. The creator's site handle the payments via Humble Bundle, which offers a Steam key /and/ a DRM-free version, so basically twice for the price. For non-USA, they offered $4.99 which is usually cheaper than your own currency on Steam as well. Anyway, just try the demo and decide for yourself. 4.11 euro was a nifty deal in my opinion!

Of all the MMOs so far, this is the one I play pretty frequently. I've already had over 2000 hours into this one, so yeah...

A lot of fun, this puzzle game. No instructions whatsoever at all (that I've seen) but you don't need it. It's pretty straightforward. Splicing atoms/molecules/dna/whatever that is, and try to make it fit the shape. Starts out easy enough but the difficulty is increasing with each 'sequence'. It is a decent puzzle game.
June 15th, 2012 @ 4:46am
The 'easy' and 'medium' levels are perfectly easy and fine enough. But 'hard' is.. HARD. Still a great puzzle game that I highly recommend. Just be prepared to bust your brain over this one when you're past the easy stage.

Holy... this game is.. amusing. And I've only played it for 20 minutes! The combat idea is pretty nifty and unique, the stuff with elements is fun. And I actually murdered all those little mages that made me fall through that floor at the start *cackles*

At first I thought this'd be a bit a lame game with those cutesy graphics. But the puzzles are actually surprisingly good. The natural limitations imposed on your character provide a nice challenge. The first 2 zones seem a bit on par with the difficulty, but at the end it starts to ramp up and you'll need to use the rewind button more to figure out how to finish the level.

The rewind feature is seriously a superb addition to this game. It enables you to trace back your actions and provide corrections wherever necessary. That makes this game also a lot more enjoyable if you can correct your mistakes!

Actually a surprisingly nice little puzzle game.

This game really can take hours of your life. I'm so glad that Steam reduced the price for the holidays. And Jani is my bestest friend!
December 25th, 2011 @ 2:41am
It's nice for sometimes, then you'll be busy for a few days. Then you'd want to take a break again, rinse repeat. In other words, it's a nice casual game. That you can bring items over between worlds is also a nice touch here, can always try to make a better 'home'.
