THE ZOMBIE WORKS GAME COMMUNITY

The Zombie Works is comprised of individuals and clans, together forming a community. What keeps us together is our desire to play mature, objective-based or teamwork oriented games. We do not have any restrictions to join other than adherence to our individual server rules and Guide To Game Play. We invite any individual or clan to come play on our servers under The Zombie Works name..

The Zombie Works got it's start by hosting LAN parties. The hosts of the LAN party named the network that the players connected to The Zombie Works, partially due to the fact that by the time the party was over all the players would be zombies. The Zombie Works LAN party centered on the game Counter Strike occasionally trying out a few other games as well.

After a few years of hosting LAN parties, the TZW founders decided to bring the fun of the LAN parties to the internet and started the TZW Counter Strike Source Server, complemented by the TZW website, and Forums. The website and forums were brought about to build a community of like minded people who enjoyed playing on the TZW server. It provides the players a place to share their passions for the games, as well as to get to know one another better.

TZW promotes a mature gaming community, this does not mean we limit our membership to adults. What this does mean, is that we look for people who want to play the games they way they are meant to be played and further the fun and enjoyment of our hobby, which is online gaming. That is our guiding principle. Maturity comes in how one conducts themselves, not how old a person is.

Currently TZW hosts two game servers serving up Call of Duty 4 and Counter Strike Source. Many of our TZW member enjoy playing other games as well, such as COD4, Guild Wars, Battlefield 2142 etc… TZW has a Ventrilo server that registered members of the forum can accesses in order to meet up with other players who want to play games that are not currently hosted by TZW.

You will see players on the servers using the |ZW| tag in their name when they play on the server. Players who become regulars quickly ask: may I use the ZW tag in my name?

Anyone who endorses our principles and rulesets may wear the ZW tag when playing on our or other servers. Bottom line: if you support ZW for what it is and want to show that support, the ZW tag is a good way to do it. Many players who love it here choose not to sport the tag in their playername, and that's fine, too, if that's what you prefer. The option is there for you to take or leave. If you are interested in becoming a TZW member check out our Guide to Game Play to see our practices and rulesets are.
