Big Time Steam Group for Big Time Fans
Big Time Rush (abbreviated and commonly called and well-known as BTR for short) is a television comedy music-themed American teen sitcom that is airing on Nickelodeon. The show centers around the to-be-simple lives of four hockey-playing teenage boys from Minnesota, "Kendall Knight" (Kendall Schmidt), "James Diamond" (James Maslow), "Carlos Garcia" (Carlos Pena, Jr.) and "Logan Mitchell" (Logan Henderson), but soon, thier lives are changed, as they get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become famous, & move to L.A. to become the next hit-making boy band, after they got a deal with record producer "Gustavo Rocque" (Stephen Kramer Glickman), along with his personal assistant, "Kelly Wainright" (Tanya Chisholm). The series was conceived and created by series showrunner and executive producer Scott Fellows, who previously created the now-defunct Nickelodeon sitcom Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, but still airs on TeenNick. Marjorie Cohn is also the series executive producer, partnered with Scott Fellows.
The show incorporates original music, sung by the real life boy band with the same name created for the show, due to partnership with Sony Music to produce the series. The show also incorporate "short previews" of songs that have yet to air in thier full versions. All or most of the music videos for the singles are available at YouTube. According to a review in New York Post, the series became one of the most top-rated & the second most popular Nickelodeon sitcom after less than a month on the air, exceeded by iCarly by only 600,000 viewers. Also according to the New York Post review, the series attracts an average of more than 3.0 million viewers per episode, & that Chang reported that readers have been tweeting and posting online requests for the boys to be included in the magazine.
