Assassin's Creed II takes place in an open world with nonlinear gameplay, allowing the player to roam freely within several regions throughout late 15th century Italy such as Venice, Florence, and the Tuscan countryside. The Animus 2.0, a new version of the machine of the same name present in Assassin's Creed, provides in-game context for changes and additions to several game elements. The health system has been made more dynamic, with synchronization to the Animus and causing the character to recover only from minor injuries. More grievous injuries require visiting a street-side doctor for medicine.
The player may now swim in water, and eagle vision – the ability to identify specific people and landmarks – can now be used in third-person view. A young Leonardo da Vinci is present in the game, aiding the player by creating new weapons from translated from codex pages left behind by Altair.
NOTHING IS TRUE AND EVERYTHING IS PERMITTED - Assassin's motto.
Hey gys, ZombieBoss here. Shank is somtimes defined as a "grphic novel", cure for murder, or a 2D, sidescrolling, cinematic, beat 'em up game, but to me, Shank is a perfectly crafted tale of sweet revenge. Clearly written by the same woman who wrote the story line for God of War (imagine that!), it tells of our protaganist's (Shank's) betrayal of the only family he ever knew (except his wife), the creation of his legend (coming "back from the dead") and the immense revenge he takes on his enemies for bringing his world down on top of him.
With bloddy, violent, 2D combat, a good storyline, level selection, a completely seperate co-op campaign to shank your way through with a friend, contact-sensitive kills, and unique boss battles, what's not to like with Shank? Cmon! Prove yourself to the criminal underworld!
This game is not what I expected it to be. Besides the lack of a campaign (for which I was pretty dissappointed), gameplay is still great (if you like a close copycat to L4D2!), graphics are pretty tight, especially when your staring down the neckhole of a severed zombie's head. Overall, if you like endless waves of mutants comin' at you from all sides (depending on how long you want your game to be), then fighting the same boss at the end of each game, then this game is for you! Also, I hope you hope mind feeling a little British since the setting is England, your currency to bye weapons (which you can only do at the end of each wave!) is measured in "pounds" instead of "dollars", and most of the talking is a corny british quip and pretty creepy zombie grunts and screams. There are lots of different zombie types to keep you and your team on your toes (up to six players but sometimes people mod it so that there can be an entire army of soldiers). Just have fun AND KILL ZOMBIES!
