With heavy breath and tender step, the slender figure walked closer, its face still blank and featureless. Hot exhales escaped its face with each breath, but no visible orifice expelled it.

The creature knelt down, its perfectly pressed suit rippling and creasing.

"I demand payment in full for my services," the creature whispered, "but I see no satchel in your hands."

Where its blank face had once been, a sea of eyes opened and fluttered to life, each one gazing intently in a new direction.

"Perhaps," the creature began again, "a simple union will suffice."

With that, it reached toward my eye, it's pin prick fingers reaching past my eyelids and behind my sight.

And he plucked it, as if it were a cherry.
