Shoot and loot. Get guns, get loot, kill monsters. Simple formula, right? Combine it with some of the best comedic writing since Portals 1 and 2, one of the most douchey villains of all time, and 80 bazillion guns and you've got a fantastic way to waste a Saturday afternoon.

Play Co-Op. It's much better.

Is XCOM Enemy Unknown better than the classic X-COM: UFO Defense from 1994? I can't say that it is. But I can also say that it is not one bit worse than the original. Both XCOM:EU and XCOM:UFOD approach the same subject from slightly different angles. XCOM:EU is much more about small unit tactics, managing the panic level of your countries, and fighting battles against enemy forces that badly outnumber you. XCOM:UFOD was much more about managing interception ranges and base placement and pushing hapless rookies into reaction fire to clear the way for your real soldiers.

They're both great games, though. You pays your money, you makes your choice.

Might sound odd, but this is one of the best horror games I've played in a long time. You'll understand what I mean when you see it.
