"I saw a man pursuing the horizon;
Round and round they sped.
I was disturbed at this;
I accosted the man.
'It is futile,' I said,
'You can never -'
'You lie,' he cried,
And ran on." - Stephen Crane

The Scourge Project is like an M Night Shyamalan movie, except the twist is how terrible the game actually is.
But in all seriousness, it's a good effort, but falls short of being an enjoyable experience. It ends up being a glitchy Gears of War knockoff that, even with the majority of my willpower, I couldn't bring myself to finish. Pass this one up.
The idea of a digital board game, scratch that, card game, is one that isn't for everyone. But it didn't take me long to see that it is a valid and excellent way of experiencing tabletop games, not to mention a way to play with friends across the country. Magic is a challenging and addictive example of this, which really only has a few basic rules. Once the player learns these, they start to win games. Over time, the player will learn more of the intricate rules of various decks and begin winning even more games and become more comfortable with their game. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys engaging board games, D & D or just anyone who suspects they might like it. If you don't think you'll like Magic, chances are that you probably won't. Magic is best experienced with a friend or a small group of friends.
A gorgeous, fun game when it's doing what it should do - which is to be an id shooter. However, Rage attempts too many other things and falls short on each, such as racing, rpg mechanics, crafting and narrative. The world is small, much smaller than Borderlands, and the texture pop-in is horrendous (it looks awesome once it does though), although the game runs great on my dated machine. The tech is powerful and impressive, so hats off to you Carmack. But more time spent on the game itself would go a long way next time. The shotgun and wingstick ended up being a lot of fun to use, but there is a lot of the same thing over and over in Rage. The coop is probably fun and focused, but I haven't played it. My advice? Wait for Doom 4.
