Down With Islamic Republic of Khamenei

Hello and Welcome, This STEAM Group is for anyone who supports or has a desire for a free Iran. On June 12 2009 Iran held it's Presidential Elections and 2 hours after the polls closed a winner was announced. The incumbent Pres. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was re-elected in a Landslide Victory. The pre-election polls showed the exact opposite result. That night thousands upon thousands of Iranians all over the country rushed to the streets to peacefully voice their opinions of the government and the Islamic Republic. They were met with Paramilitary, Plain Clothes Police and Anti Riot police. In the following weeks, day after day the protests continued and grew in size, and the violence by the government increased.


Nearly a month after the election, people are still protesting, but because hopes of a free election have been demolished, the people are after a new goal. The deposition of the Islamic Republic and the foundation of a Secular Republic where every vote counts and is truly meaningful.
