Hey! I'm 23 years old, was born, live and go to uni in the U.K., so don't be fooled by the american accent!
I'm an admin on the Uberium TF2 server so I can try to help you out if you have any problems.
Surprisingly entertaining, despite the slightly complicated looking interface from the screenshots. It's not just about stopping global warming with green initiatives; that's just one of your tools. You get to implement policies on a whole range of issues around the world from political stability to quality of life, employment, technology and energy consumption. If there's a megalomaniac in you, you might definitely get a kick out of this.
Gameplay wise it's fairly simple, you try to destroy the enemy's gate little by little with your rock and avoid your opponent's defences. While a new rock is spawning you build your own defences (walls, siege weapons, animals etc). The formula works fairly well, but if you like Monty Python style history humour then that's the real reason for buying this. Also, it's by the same team that made Zeno Clash so if you want more insane games to come from that studio then you should do your bit and support them...
I love this game. You've probably heard already that the narrator is fantastic, which enhances an already great story and setting. Nice music too. Gameplay wise, while it's basically Diablo (or Torchlight) style fighting with loot/ability upgrading in between, it never felt boring or repetitive to me. The weapons, especially the ones you unlock later in the game, are really satisfying to use as well. The story advances at such a nice pace that the fighting feels like it matters. Highly recommended...
