Vergil's downfall a dlc about taking family issues to a whole new level:-

The games fighting mechanics are severly limited compared to the entirety of the main game, with only five things to upgrade with very little in traversal upgrades. Lack of a double jump hurts alot. The weapons in particular were nothing too disimilar to those in the main game however the angel weapon works more as a way to herd sheep than effectively do damage. Instead of crowd control you perform a fast dash through enemies. However combat is fluid but as it was in the main game enemies can be rather stupid. On top of all the above every. single. fight. is near a cliff face of some sort.

Enemy variety is low but that is to be expected of dlc where it introduces two new enemies which you gain the achievements We have an uninvited guest and you dont belong here . Along with the enemies featured in the main game up until the difficulty of the tyrant dreamrunners and elites are not featured. Due to this combat was dull and repetitive battling the same combination of enemies throughout. Also if you have NOT completed the main game do not play this first. Even though it is easier it features spoilers to the ending of the main game.

The game is far too easy compared too the main game and is INCREDIBLY short. The game consists of only six missions which took me over an hour and a half to beat on nephilim difficulty.
The animation of cutscenes was something i did not enjoy due to it's look as a botched cel shading attempt with the story being incredibly medicore leading. I also found annoyance in the fact YOU DON'T GET TO KILL DANTE AS IT IS DONE IN A CUTSCENE.

The game runs well with my pc getting a solid 300 even in the midst of the most hectic combat.
