Stuart P. Bentley'Fortix 2 is best described as a reverse turret defense game.' =~ s/a reverse turret defense game/Qix with dragons/r
This game is actually pretty awesome. You can do stuff like set up towers to deal with the grunts while speccing yourself for shooting the tanks in the face (they all have weak points to aim for).
Recettear is a deceptively great game. The initial high concept - a perspective switched RPG where you play as an item vendor rather than an adventurer - sounds gimmicky, like a shoot-em-up where you play as the descending waves of enemies, or a platformer where you play as the ground. The impression a basic description gives is that of the kind of game whose main objective is to "make you think about" the other side of an inscrutable video game trope, the kind you find in droves on Kongregate that hold your interest for about ten seconds. However, in execution, this concept plays out with void-filling providence, adding new solutions to unnoticed vacuums in the form. Being the vendor, your aim when you delve into a dungeon is to collect the proliferate "vendor trash" that clutters the traditional inventory, and then an engrossing majority of the game revolves around its sale (with more depth than the dog in Torchlight who solves the same question). Oops, out of space.
