Home to the original band of misfits.
Founded in 1846 by an esoteric group of radical homosexual monks that later became federated into the League of Extraordinary Christians; [FunK] now considers itself to be a loose association of homosexual Christians. Though popular among todays gaming, gay, and lumberjack communities; [FunK] continues to be a fringe organization and is rumored to be at the root of many localized rebellions in various third world countries. While many nations throughout the world (especially those in the European Union) have banned membership; underground support seems to be on the rise. The economic and political philosophy of the group has found a home in today's emo, scene, and anarchist subcultures. The influence of [FunK] on our modern world is unmistakable though, and many powerful political & world leaders are supposed former (possibly current?) members. The most famous of the alleged leaders with ties to [FunK] are Former US presidents: Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and now Barack Obama. Others include: Benito Mussolini, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and Tony Blair. While ties to the 2008 election are hazy, some on the far right has insinuated that Obama was placed in power by the leadership of [FunK]. Others on the far left however have alleged that [FunK] was behind the appointment of Governor Palin and the rise in fame of the figure of "Joe The Plumber". [FunK] however denies involvement and maintains political neutrality. [FunK] is however listed as a Philanthropic organization and contributes to many charitable causes. The most recent being the effort to protect birds from jet engines. Many famous people are publicly [FunK] members such as : Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves, Russell Crowe, Gary Busey, Mel Gibson, Angeline Jolie, Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, and Rachel Ray.
