If you'll sit right there a minute and listen, I'd like to tell you a story about how my life got flipped upside-down.
I was born and raised in the westside of Philidelphia, there wasn't much to do up there so I spent most of my days chilling out at the school playground and shooting some "b-ball" with the few friends I had.
One day I accidentally hit a guy from my school in the back of the head with the basketball, and when I tried to apologize I realized they were up to no good, and they started making trouble. One of the couple of guys lifted me up (literally above his head!) and started to spin me around.
It was only a little fight, but nonetheless, when I told me my mother she got scared and told me she was going to send me to live with my aunt and uncle in some place called "Bel-Air".
I begged her day after day but she was so stubborn she packed my suitcase herself, and then she gave me a kiss and my ticket, and sent me on my (not so) merry way, I turned on my walkman so I might have some fun on the way to hell.
I was in the first class space on the airplane, it was pretty badass, I was only about 17, so I could only drink orange juice, but I got to drink it out of a champagne glass!
Is this what I was going to be living like? Maybe this wont be so bad after all....
I was still rather skeptical about this, with the pricey booze and all.
When the plane landed, and I got out, there was some guy who looked like a cop standing there with my name on a sign! I didn't want to get arrested, I just got here, so I ran away as fast as I could, careful to make sure he didn't notice me.
I called for a taxi, and when it came to pick me up, I noticed the license plate said "fresh" and there was dice in the mirror, I thought this cab must be rare, but I decided not to think about it, and told him to take me to Bel-Air.
It was about 7 or 8 o'clock when I got there, I taunted the cab driver, strolled up to my new kingdom, and knocked on the door, but nobody was home. Just my luck.
A source engine remake of the great game Counter-Strike. What's not to like? The community is great and there are thousands of fanmade maps and even gamemodes. I played this game for years and never got tired of it. With Global Offensive right around the corner, there's no better time than now to get some practice in!
The legendary game Crysis. What's not to like?
Not only is it amazing from a graphical point of view, but the gameplay and storyline are great too!
Although the game was released in November of 2007, the graphics still stand up quite strongly to games coming out today. One thing to note, however, is that Crysis is known to give even the newest hardware some difficulties at higher settings. Somehow, though, with the graphical purdyness turned down enough, even computers that are years old can run it at playable framerates.
The story centers around a supersoldier, deemed 'Nomad', in a high-tech nanosuit.
Nomad's job is to blast his way through countless numbers of Korean soldiers on an island where scientists claim to have found something that can change the world... Aliens.
Later, Nomad is forced to fight the aliens in an attempt to survive and escape the island. An unstoppable one-man army fighting aliens? It's the '90s all over again! But with better graphics, of course.
I'm sure I'm not the first one telling you to play this, if you haven't already, it's free now, so what are you waitin' for?
