Cat Quest II takes what worked in the first game and builds upon it seamlessly. So seamlessly, in fact, I didn't truly realize how much was actually changed until I went back to the first game after beating this one. It's not just more of the same. The devs added enough variety, updated mechanics, and quality-of-life changes to keep it fun and interesting. If you liked the original Cat Quest, I don't see a reason why you wouldn't enjoy this one just as much, if not more. Cat Quest III can't come fast enough!

Very good. While I had a blast with it, the game does start to feel a little same-y after a while - but it's short enough that it's over before that matters. I would recommend playing through this game, then playing Cat Quest II, which basically takes what worked in this game and expands upon it with new mechanics and quality-of-life changes.

It's fun, but needs work. It's still in early access, so I look forward to what the devs cook up.

Kingdoms of Amalur is one of those games that flew under the radar. Mine and everyone else's, apparenrly, as it sank a whole dev team. Which is a real shame, because this game is fantastic. It's easily in my top 10 favorite and memorable gaming experineces. It's cheap, and even cheaper during sales, so confidently pick it up (or hit Play if it's been sitting in your endless backlog).

Paladins is easily my current favorite game. Getting right to the first point everyone makes, you could draw a clear line between characters in Paladins and Overwatch (and even League of Legends). But visually is about where the similarities end. The abilities of the characters and how the games play are quite different.

PRO
+ Free-to-play.
+ Active player base.
+ Active development team that listens.
+ Frequent updates.
+ Many diverse and unique characters that suit many play styles.
+ Card system to adjust and build to your play style.
+ Play to unlock items and get in-game currency (spending real money is not necessary).
+ Sweet horsey mounts.
+ For a game in beta, there's a refreshing lack of bugs and glitches.
+ Relatively low system requirements needed to run the game.

CON
- Too many different in-game currencies (3).
- In-game currency (crystals) are way too expensive (real money) for how little you get when compared to how many crystals it takes to unlock certain things.
- Lack of levels. You'll play the same maps over and over.

NEUTRAL
~ No changing characters once the match has started. Choose wisely. Build a balanced team.
~ Many have recently argued the game is pay-to-win. I do not share this opinion.
~ Some characters are OP/need nerfing. However, cards and play style can "work around" most. And future updates generally level things out.
~ Some long queue times. Not too often, but I have sat in queue for 5+ min on more than a few occasions.
~ Some updates are "two (ro three) steps forward, one step back."
~ Server downtime. It's beta. It happens. But it happens enough to be worth noting - mainly around events, unfortunately.

I'm sure I've overlooked or forgotten to mention some things. That said, this game is tons of fun, and I would absolutely recommend it to any of my friends. For a free-to-play game in beta, it wins my vote over many other established, polished, and more refined games.

A little neutral on this title overall. That said, I sway toward recommending it.

Pros:
+ Beautiful.
+ Great setting and atmosphere.
+ Good soundtrack.
+ Simple controls.
+ Relaxing.
+ Short.

Cons:
- Price.
- Short.

The game is short, which lends both to its strength and weakness. Just as it's starting to get stale, you're wrapping up the main story. There's just not a lot to do. Collect pieces to make your boat's boost last longer. Collect artifacts. See creatures and landmarks. Collect supplies for the story. It's a pretty game, and feels more like art (in the "classic" sense; not getting into a "videogames aren't art" thing, so simmer down). Climbing starts to feel tedious at times.

The $20 full price feels like too much. Even at $6.79 on sale, this game feels pricey. I guess it depends on how much you value your money, and how much expendable cash you have. I also feel the devs deserve compensation for their work, as this isn't a bad game by any means. So, for the length and content, I'd recommend it if it's on sale.

Pixel art, procedurally generated, dungeon hack n' slash. Even with the simplified "how to play" menu option, there's a bit of a learning curve when you start. That being said, the game is a pick-up-and-play kind of game - it's just that there really isn't much in terms of direction. Go through doors, kill enemies, collect things, try and find the next floor/level, and kill bosses. There always seems to be something new each time you play. Once you get going, you won't want to stop.

Had this sitting in my Library backlog, so I decided to give it a try. Binged for 3 hours. Recommended.

Don't let the cuteness fool you. Lucifer and Luigi had a fling, and this is that demon spawn. The only way it could be more evil is if you were timed. You will die.

Recommended. It's a ton of fun. I mapped the controls to a wired Xbox controller in the settings, so I can't speak for using the keyboard, but with a controller it's responsive. The visuals and art style, soundtrack, and narration are all fantastic. Unfortunately, the major downside I noticed was that the servers seemed fairly barren. This could have just been the 4 servers it pulled for me, or the time of day, but it's a shame because the game is actually a lot of fun. I recommend it, but I can't vouche that you'll have many people to play against unless you have a friend that also owns the game.
