Often described as a reverse tower defense game, Anomaly has you guide a set of vehicles to eradicate some sort of alien invasion. It's simple and yet still proves challenging, and many of the achievements legitimately add to replayability.
A western-style multiplayer indie game with similar game modes to TF2, but plays much differently. I wish more people would play it as it is surprisingly fun. (However, it does have a 1-2 player map.)
