Review
Synopsis
Her Story is an amazing FMV tale of mystery and intrigue where you must utilize your fine detective skills in order to piece together a story using archived video footage of 7 interviews. These 7 interviews detail the background of the candidate's missing husband. Viva Seifert, the interviewee, won numerous awards for her superb acting in this game, helping it become one of the most popular indie games in the summer of 2015. Even though I don't have many hours logged into this game on Steam, I have previously completed it with a friend.

Gameplay
With nothing much to start with, you first bootup the police video database and begin to watch a few seemingly non-interconnected clips, sporatically taken within the seven different interviews. Your job is to type in keywords discovered throughout your investigation in order to pull up other unseen clips. Some of these keywords are fairly obvious, such as: Hospital, Husband, etc., yet others are extremely obscure (the final keyword). A database tracker helps you visualize which/how many clips you have seen, and if you are getting close to the final tapes (in chronological order).

Interface
Throughout gameplay, there will be an active session of 5 or so clips, and if there are more than 5 clips for a search result, you must view some of them in order to have access to the rest. A very helpful feature is that notes can be added for each clip. This really helps if you leave and want to pick the game back up down the line. The depth in this game is magnificent, yet the UI can still use a lot of work. Other than that, this unique story is truly a masterpiece.

Shortcut
I would not advise using this method to play the game, yet if you have beaten the game and want to view every tape, this method shown below will help you do that in chronological order.

Every clip's note has the word BLANK written inside of it as a default setting. If you search for BLANK, the database will continue to pull up every video you have not seen. This method only works if you add a note (i.e. a number) to the video you just watched, so that it will no longer come up as a result.
