As much as I love 4X games, I can't recommend this game at all. The tech trees are a convoluted, unintuitive mess, battles are basically real time, not turn-based, and you are directly punished with a massive approval penalty for expanding your empire.

Imagine your brain is a flat sheet of paper. English Country Tune will use your brain for gift wrap, paper mache, moebius strips, and origami, sometimes all at once. A great game, if you like the sorts of puzzle games where you can feel your skull being turned to putty as you play.
