One of the best games on Steam for what you pay for it. Excellent graphics (even on normal settings, because high settings makes my computer cry...), very good sound track. The actors are very very very good. Especially the acting on Lara when she is in so much pain. And believe me when I say that she gets into situtations like "oh my god why isn't she dead yet?!"

The story is really good. They are trapped on an island after sudden lightning storm blew them into the island. They realized that they weren't the only ones there. This story does have some awkward voo-doo magic thing where (spoiler maybe?) if someone tries to leave the island or enters it they get struck by a lightning storm that appears no matter the conditions of the current weather.... (yeah I don't understand it either) But this is a good storyline, no cliche's, very detailed characters, which you can learn about them by collecting their journals hidden throughout the island.

The controls are very tight and definite and no floatiness at all, I do reccomend an Xbox controller to play this game though. The gameplay has a very good climb in difficulty as you play, getting new gear to complete challenging puzzles or outsmarting your enemies. There are tombs and hidden gps caches and other goodies scattered throughout the island. I mean there are a LOT of them. I do love the bow mechanics. Very nice.

My only gripes about this game are the survival aspects. It's kinda like Far Cry 3 in a way where you gather what they call "salvage" to upgrade your weapons. The only time she really eats in the story is in the beginning when you first start on the island. I really wish there were more of that. They could've made an actual survival mode where you have to collect food and water or else it will hinder your aiming and movement or something like that.

Another thing that I don't really like is the multiplayer modes. It's just a standard Call-of-Duty type multiplayer mode with no real memorable stuff. Plus it's really hard to find a game. So I would buy this game only for the Singleplayer.

Overall the story is very nice, no cliche's and no real ruining moments. The graphics and music are outstanding and the gameplay is amazing but needs some more survival elements. I give this game a 9/10. A MUST BUY, no matter how much it costs. This is an excellent "reboot" of the franchise. Althought I would call it a prequal instead of a reboot, since it's Lara's first expidition. BUY THIS GAME NOW! Do it! Stop reading this and do it now! Why are you still reading this?! Buy it now!
