Meet the Medic! What can I really say about this game that hasn't already been said? It's amazing. Buy it or die.

A fabulous little JRPG, Recettear follows the partnership of Recette, enthusiastic only-daughter of a ne'er do well item-shop owner, and Tear, a no-nonsense debt-collecting fairy. These two ladies come together to work out a settlement in order to pay of the debt of Recette's deceased father (who bought the farm on some get-ric-quick scheme). Taking over her father's item shop, Recette meets a number of adventurers, who frequent her shop and offer their services in exchange for sponsorship. Quite challenging, Recettear combines resource management, dungeon crawling, and haggling with a diverse cast of JRPG staples, and pokes fun at its source material. Probably better suited for the DS than Steam, Recettear is still worth the purchase, considering no translated version of the game exists for any console.
