This game is part of the Humble FrozenByte Bundle, a name your own price collection of indie games. For the $5 I paid for the whole package, I feel like such a cheapskate. This game is easily worth that on its own.

In "Lost Vikings" tradition, Trine is a physics based platformer/puzzler, with the player(s) taking on the roles of a thief, wizard and soldier, each with their own unique abilities. So far, so generic. But with the multiple ways you can play through, it makes for an interesting adventure, especially when one character dies and you're forced to think your way around problems. Just because you can't do it the easy way, doesn't mean it's impossible to continue.

I was surprised by the quality of graphics and voice acting from an indie game - whilst suffering slightly from the "vaseline smeared over everything" look, they're none the less impressive as indie titles go. The ability to team up with friends locally is also a welcome addition to the gameplay.
