Feels like real war. The squad-based combat, realistic graphics, sprawling maps, and environmental destruction do a good job at making this game stand apart from the COD series.
Pretty much the best multiplayer game Valve has ever made. Team Fortress 2 continues to receive free updates, community content, and maps. It's the one game that keeps you coming back because it's fun every time you play.
Stunning graphics and lots to do for sandbox lovers. Granted, the game may get repetitive if you play it for too long at a time (much like Far Cry 2 did, only not as bad), but the polish makes up for it. Just Cause 2 was one of my biggest surprise hits this year, as I'd never heard of or played the series before. There are tons of vehicles/planes/helicopters/weapons, no skybox, and a massive island to explore and blow stuff up on.
