Free games for awesome people
Back in November 2011 I wanted to do something awesome. Something no one had tried, but something that would make a bunch of people happy. I tried a bunch of different things, but nothing really seemed to satsify - until I thought up SGGW.
I decided to give away one Steam game every weekend for the rest of 2011 on the RandomKindness subreddit on Reddit. It was awesome. Lots of people were made happy, and I also learned a lot from the experience. Of course, 2012 rolled around and I stopped giving away the games.
Fastfoward to May 2012. The RandomKindness subreddit was starting to get a revamp, lots of new people joined, and I was again seeking to do something awesome. I knew RandomKindness needed SGGW back.
So I brought it back.
(yes i see the irony in posting in a "random acts" subreddit and sticking to a schedule.)
FAQ:
Q: How do I enter?
A: You need a Reddit account and you need to follow the instructions on the active post for the weekend. PLEASE NOTE if your account is only a few days old and it looks like a fake account made for extra entries, it will probably not be allowed to win. Go be active on reddit for a bit then enter.
Q: Where is this post?
A: You can generally check the most recent announcement or calendar event to find a link.
Q: How often am I allowed to enter?
A: Once per giveaway. If you won previously I won't stop you from entering again, but you shouldn't to let other people win.
Q: How do I donate to the cause?
A: Send me a message and we can talk it out. You'll get credit for each game you donate if you want credit.
