If you want a good action/rpg like Knights of the Old Republic, look at Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines (on sale right now BTW). Be sure to hit up file planet for the patches that make it playable on modern pcs. Good luck & have fun.

If you're a fan of the old Settlers games you'll no doubt love this one. An in-depth trade empire simulation with interconnected resource management to grow your empire from one tiny island city to a massive seafairing trade company. The artwork is absolutely gorgreous.
