If you've never read the comics, imagine if they rewrote 90s Animated Batman for an adult age group, where you play as Christopher Nolan Batman, with all the kickass gadgets, Assassin's Creed type combat, and an inFamous type sandbox world and upgrade system. That's this game in a nutshell, fully worth it at any price, especially discounted.

Honestly, this game is a blatantly obvious XBox 360 port and does very little to conceal the fact. However, the single player is still very fun, and translates to PC controls relatively well. The multiplayer still reels from Ubi's hallmark inability to properly code a multiplayer mode, but can be extremely fun and quite balanced if you can get it to work. Despite the numerous technical issues, this game can still be a fun experience if you can get it to work.

This game isn't about the gameplay, at least not really. It's about the background, the environment, and pretty much the entire setting. If you go in with the expectation of enjoying the setting, then you will definitely get what you're looking for.

This isn't to say that the gameplay is bad, far from it, but it's not the main reason to buy this game.
