Difficult and fun. Get this game.
Buy this game now dammit. Timeless gameplay and level design more complex and intricate than Linear Shooter #46355216. Not to mention, mods, or as they're called by the Doom community WADs. There is so much user created content, that with this game and its access to an endless library of mods, you've got endless hours of gameplay. This is a timeless classic that no one should miss out on.
This performance whoring game is probably one of the most innovative takes on the FPS genre I've played in years. The whole concept of floating around in space and learning to maneuver is daunting enough, but it is truly rewarding once you get the hang of it. I highly recommend this game for anyone that thinks FPS games now a days are nothing but space marines* and zombies.
*Theyre actually in space this time.
