Certainly surprised me. I got this game in a big indy bundle AGES ago. Not much of it has been memorable, however this game is very clever and fun little puzzle game. At times the puzzles are a bit too clever and really beyond me in a big way, but it's fun nonthelss. The story is you play as Toki who has had all the eggs stolen and the objective of each mission is to retrieve the eggs.puzzles get more complex as the levels change and you gain new abilities which are needed to get from A to B in many different locations. It really puts your grey matter to the test.

A very fun turn-based game. It's a simple enough story, blue against red, no real bioware-like writing, but the game is a lot of turn-based, unit building fun so if you like that, that's great. Unfortunatly, after a while it does get a little old, especially with no actual storyline or anything else to keep you invested and it goes on for 50 missions which may not seem much, but being a turn-based game it takes soooo long.
June 15th, 2013 @ 1:05pm
A very fun grand theft auto-like game. You play as a undercover police officer called Wei Shen who is attempting to infiltrait the triads and bring them down from the inside, whilst also being a cop. Being a open world game there are a huge amount of things to be done in this large open environment. Lots of small things too, like helping out someone to increase your face bar. Face is how well respected you are and the better your face, the bettter the clothing you can buy as well as other unlocks, same with the triad and police bars you get different unlocks. It's a really fun game and the achievements in it are not that hard to complete either which makes this game a real seller to me.
June 14th, 2013 @ 3:47pm
A lot of fun as a DLC for Sleeping Dogs. It's dot action, vampires, ghosts and demons. What's not to like? It doesn't last very long though and the missions can be completed in a short amount of time, but it's still a lot of fun.
June 14th, 2013 @ 3:44pm
I bought this game due to my enjoyment of the Deponia franchise and I have to admit, it's a lot of fun. Very funny and the puzzles are very difficult, however in some cases that can be too difficult due to many items being almost too well hidden in the background. In some cases I couldn't find the item at all until the walkthrough mentioned it was there.

The ending is quite a twist and a very deep ending too. Worth a buy if you enjoy the deponia series, though it has crashed every once and a while.
June 4th, 2013 @ 6:25am
a very nice catch by steam here. This game is basically star trek as you have many different rooms and systems and at times I felt like saying to myself "move full power to the shields" and it is a lot of fun. It's somewhat a simple game, but it's done so well and in such a way that it's like playing your own little star trek game. You have a story where you have to run ahead of the rebellion to pass on the message to the guys in charge to give yourself a advantage. A lot of effort and fun in this game and well worth the price.
June 2nd, 2013 @ 6:32am
A very fun little rouge-like game where you have a lot of synergy with many off the abilities, some of which are just made for humor like vampire and the ability to sparkle or communism and a ability to drop a bomb. It's one hell of a time waster, but at the same time you can actually cut down the size of the dungeon with NO reprecussions. None. No achievements are affected either. Really, it's a lot of fun, especially as you can wear some light armour with magic which paths the way to making something like a Magus from Pathfinder's Ultimate Magic or Arcane duelist from D&D 3.5 or, again, Pathfinder.
June 2nd, 2013 @ 5:11am
A sequal that is not as good as the first, but it's a lot of fun. Interesting to learn about the oncoming threat that is fully revealed in swtor and not to mention the strange new sith abilities that make them more feared. I liked learning what would happen to the other characters after I left so it gives some closure there and now I can't wait to read my star wars book: Revan which ties this game to SWTOR.
June 1st, 2013 @ 9:14am
All I can say is that it's not as good as I hoped it would. It's funny for a little while, but herding them into a space ship gets boring fast, plus the whole activating online like with EA pissed me off even though this is Capcom and thought they'd know better.
May 27th, 2013 @ 5:31am
The game has quite a few voice talents, but the combat system I just can't get behind. It's all based on your armour and weapons for example, those in heavy armour are weak to bludgeoning weapons, those in medium armour are weak to cutting perferating weapons and those with light or no armour, weak to light armour and the difficulty spikes in this game for combat jump all over the place.

It is cool to hear the voices from the characters from the series...despite many of them not looking anything like their actors and the story is engaging, but there are times that it is just far too hard to deal with.
May 25th, 2013 @ 3:10am
More of the first really, a high octain mash-em-up of a game. The story in this one is more like Collatoral damage of Taken 2 where you should know not to mess with someone who just tore your troops apart like mere tissue paper and killed one of your generals in a horrific way.

Really, Shank was just fine, drinking booze on the bus and if you left him alone nothing would happen. To quote spoony: "But oh no. You had to come down and shake his fucking tree and now he's pissed off and going to come after you" which is the basic plot of the story, plus for a single level you get to be a different character and switing weapons is done in a in-game menu whilst paused which is so much easier.

Only real downside is I feel sick that it had to be related to EA. Eitherway, if you liked the first you'll love this and if you didn't like the first. Well, things have improved and controls are less confusing and better made for PC use but generally I'd say only buy if on a sale.
May 19th, 2013 @ 6:00am
Far better than my experience on the PS2, however I find this game very hard, especially if you are new to this kind of game that gives you many, many options. You have to know what you want to specialise in or otherwise you get your ass handed to you every time. I hate the lack of a shop too, somewhere I could offload the junk I pick up to buy some new stuff would be great. However the story itself is what it's famous for and it is quite believeable that the things that are going on behind the scenes could actually happen in a futuristic world.
April 28th, 2013 @ 4:52am
This game is one of those Dungeon Keeper 2 clones that's done REALLY well. There are many differences, such as being three dimensional in it's layout meaning you can mine down and up for resources. There are also no designated rooms meaning you can freely put whatever you want where-ever you want. It is a very long game and I warn you now, since the game has a huge area, especially in the later levels when building in large groups of Dwarves it'll munch on your virtual memory like it needs ever inch to survive. The story is certainly not epic, but it's definantly commedic and quite fun to play. I recommend playing it if you love games such as Evil Genius or Dungeon Keeper 2.
April 27th, 2013 @ 5:41am
More of the first, this game focuses on the Chaos and the place where Daemons come from, the Warp. You are able to import your save which is always a + in my opinion as you can carry over the xp, gear, and so on from the last game. There's also a corruption meter and depending on what you do you get more corrupt or less. To remain uncorrupted is hard and you gain no real benefits from it besides a good ending where as if you have become corrupted you gain many different special boons that help enforce your characters, but at what cost? It's game length however is quite short, but then again what do you expect when it's an expansion? If you have DoW2, I suggest getting this as your teams level cap is extended by 10 and you can bring over all your equipment, though your terminator armour is "damaged" until you get a tech to repair it.
April 27th, 2013 @ 5:38am
Fun little adventure game with quite a bit of comedy. Can't really say much more to it but there is a lot of re-playable things to it too.
March 11th, 2013 @ 9:39am
A very difficult tower defence game. you can move around the orbits of satilites which I thought would make it easier, but it really didn't. It just makes it incredibly difficult.
March 11th, 2013 @ 9:05am
they certainly did a change up after the previous games. This time instead of massive C&C like base invasions, now you are given a squad to attack with. This is more tactical and you can't just re-build people to make it less of a concern when your main character dies. Instead they fall incapacitated, but can be revived, though you have to get someone to get back their men for those in squads. I had a lot of fun with this and it felt closer to Warhammer 40K than the previous games and you could be tactical by taking up buildings or hiding behind cover for protection. Definantly worth a buy.
March 9th, 2013 @ 1:28pm
Quite fun mechanics and nice animation, however it is a multiplayer game only and therefore doesn't have my attention, but I do love turn-based and loved playing the tutorial bit too.
February 27th, 2013 @ 5:00am
This game gets really abusive with the cover tactics. So much so it gets really difficult even when you aren't that far into the game and have to keep changing tactics which is fun for a little while, but with the scoring system this is clearly a game that is made or 2 people and not 1.
February 24th, 2013 @ 10:28am
Certainly a fun little game for a while. I was pulled in by the trailer and I admit it's very fun to just destroy these workers for senseless reason, however overtime it starts becoming a bore and you start wanting to just get the game over with. overall it is fun for a little while, but then it gets repetitive and the missions get boring.
February 24th, 2013 @ 4:33am
Can be a very difficult game at times, even on easy difficulty. I've given up on this but it was a interesting little game whilst it lasted.
February 1st, 2013 @ 9:00am
Certainly a fun game that'll keep you entartained for hours. You are a dragon collecting treasure for your hoard. The aim is to get a certian ammount (or more than everyone else) within the time limit. You can steal from carriages, burn down wheat, burn down mills, kidnap princesses to ransom or even destroy a wizard's tower to steal a immensely valuable gem. I'd vertainly give it a go and it can be a lot of fun, though there is sadly not story to be had with this game.
January 30th, 2013 @ 8:20am
More of the first, but with better graphics and somewhat stronger story. The controls are the same, but everything is far clearer and easier to make sense, but just like the first one, it suffered with a lack of a fast forward button.
January 30th, 2013 @ 8:05am
I had hoped for a simulator of being stranded like a kind of Gilligan's Island the game sort of things, but instead it appears to be a game where you do a lot of building which is all fine, however building takes so long that it is best to play the mini games. Problem with the minigames is you start with only 50 as a cap and many games give you far more than that as a reward.

Fun little game and great if you're one of those green-skinned casual gamers too.
January 30th, 2013 @ 7:52am
Fun little indy game where you get many ideas for strategies and as you go up in the campaign you find that the game only gets harder because they shorten the time you have to make decisions. Unfortunatly you can't undo a descision like in Hero Achademy so if you do a mistake, you are stuck with it, even if it isn't the end of your turn.

Fun for a little while, but soon enough you find yourself getting bored, though it is interesting reading the stories sometimes.
January 30th, 2013 @ 2:35am
fun little game where you start out as a meteor and start smashing into others, building in size before you become a planet. After that you absorb meteors and become even larger, gaining intelligent life before finally turning into a sun and getting bigger and bigger, claiming more and more planets. Fun little game and you can easily lose time in it.
January 29th, 2013 @ 2:10pm
Fun little updated version of Space Invaders, though more more difficult and far more fun with the many Upgrades and other elements added into the game to make it somewhat unique aswell as new eemies rarther than just the standard. clearly the creators put a lot of effort into it and I suggest you give it a go.
January 29th, 2013 @ 7:05am
As always Wadjeteye Games have delivered another amazing game with a new inventive UI and a awesome story with many twists and turns as well as asking big questions about how all new technology has the capacity for peace, but there wil always be people who will use it for their own purposes.

I highly recommend this and any other game by Wadjeteye Games to anyone who loves point and click adventure games.
January 23rd, 2013 @ 8:09pm
A short, but very fun and voilent game all based around revenge. It's a old-school side-scrolling beat-em-up where you fight your way through henchmen on a quest for revenge. If you have a controller, great, but if you don't you'll have difficulty as the symbols for actions are not keys, but just pictures, making combat quite confusing and difficult at times. Eitherway, you'll have fun with this giving you unlimited live and on normal difficulty, checkpoints. Worth the label price.
January 23rd, 2013 @ 6:27am
A very fun puzzle game that'll have you rooting around in the ol- greymatter and trying to put together how to solve each puzzles. Some easy, some almost impossible. I highly reccommend this to any fan of puzzle games, plus there is a ton of comedy in the story too.
January 22nd, 2013 @ 6:19am
Not really what I expected. Most of the gameplay boils down to quick time events and the last part people's personalities appear to rapidly alter. However Telltale games have not let the story lacking, the characters are engaging and still had a lot of fun playing it.

Definant buy if a Jurassic Park and Telltale Game fan, but not for full price.
January 18th, 2013 @ 2:08pm
A hell of a game. Very fun and more kid humor in most parts, but a lot of it is still very fun :)
January 12th, 2013 @ 5:26pm
Quite a fun game, however it's one that takes a while. Best to look at this like playing chess. Games can last for hours and hours and it saves peoples turns so that if you either lost connection or have to leave for say work or something, the last player's submitted move is saved for when you wish to return to the game.

A lot of fun with a lot of tactics in it. Plus the art style is quite fun too.
January 10th, 2013 @ 10:00am
Quite a fun game, also worked on by Wadjeteye Games and it is interesting when they do with the wizard of Oz lore. I quite enjoyed this and it's a nice short adventure game that I recommend to most anyone willing to have a go with it, not ot mention it's quite cheap and easy to find online.
January 9th, 2013 @ 4:10pm
Not as fun as I had hoped, the trailer was a lot more fun than the actual game, but it's jjust there to be a rarther silly game for random fun.
January 9th, 2013 @ 2:48pm
Very fun puzzle game. You get hints for all the easy, normal and hard drifficulty levels, however the the "Actual Challenge" ones which are based on Portal 2 do not have hints and are far more difficult than the hard ones.
January 9th, 2013 @ 2:27pm
Just finished this game and my god...I can't believe it. It is just such a wonderful, heart warming story that I never could've expected. I recommend this to anyone who loves stories, this one even moved me to tears at various points and I'd love to see what else this team has to offer.
January 6th, 2013 @ 5:44pm
A very fun game. think Dungeon Keeper, but where you play a james bond'esque villain where you try to take over the world. You get henchmen to buld your base, guard it and even fool turists to try and keep your activities unknown.

Sadly there are only 2 levels, but with all the reasearch and the length of time missions can take this is a game you can play for hours on end with the many different traps and science devices you can strap agents too, uncluding a laser like the classic bond film, Gold Finger. One hell of a buy if you ask me :)
January 5th, 2013 @ 8:59am
It's a very fun game and the story kinda sucks you in, however after a whole when you are making more expensive ships to control you find that you are spending most of your time just grinting for more Rez and so on making the game appear to last almost indefinantely.
January 4th, 2013 @ 6:12pm
A fun little puzzler, however it's far too short and completed it in a short time. Good to kill a couple of hours and very inventive ideas.
January 4th, 2013 @ 4:27pm
More of the first and a lot of fun aswell. Clearly this new company should be watched for what else the might be making and I can't wait for the final conclusion about Deponia on what might happen. Hopefully, it will be a brilliant, but also fun ending :)
December 26th, 2012 @ 1:42pm
This game drives me NUTS! i mean it unlike VVVVVVV this game really pisses me off due to how nearly impossibly many levels are and I don't have the time nor patience for this game, not ot mention I got it as a gift too, argh.

I hate games where you can't defend yourself, sometimes anyway. It really depends on the game, but this one just really annoys me. Don't get it unless you're the kind of person who wants a REAL challenge of a game.
December 26th, 2012 @ 9:43am
A very fun tower-defence game with quite a interesting story. I enjoyed my time playing it and I am sure anyone would have fun with it too. You end up surviving a plague and finding that the plague is far more dangerous than first imagined and is under the control of somekind of being that is raising those who fall to the plague as undead and using them in a unkillable army.

i won't give anymore away, but it is quite a fascinating world they've created. Certainly not award winning designs on the drawings, but certainly is a lot of fun to play.
December 25th, 2012 @ 8:58am
Very fun game and certainly a mighty strange ending too. Quite love the monkey island series, however many times I'm often finding myself lost and not knowing what to do, however.
December 1st, 2012 @ 3:21pm
An amazing game from back in the early days of Bioware. The twist right near the end I never saw coming in that way Bioware have always been in great story telling. Apart from when they seemed to have become one with EA and messed things up, but I digress.

Game starts where the republic ship you are on is under attack from Sith fighters and you have to make your way off the ship, battling your way through sith soldiers and getting to an escape pod where the real meat of the game begins on the planet of Taris.

The game is based on the 3rd edition roleplaying game so if you have any experience with D&D you'll have no trouble getting into this game. As i said before, it's classic Bioware with the great storytelling and characters that are so realistic and you end up caring about. You get the chance to become either a Jedi or Sith. Both sides have different types of powers that can be used in many different ways. This is a game I highly recommend for it's story-line and replayability.
November 22nd, 2012 @ 2:36am
I have found that I have loved this game. As the trailer suggests, it's kind of like money island both in the cartoon animation (more so in reference to the third game) and it's also a world based on cartoon physics too.

The jokes in this are very funny and even though the character is a egocentric character who cares only about himself, he does get beaten up a lot so you do kinda warm up to him, plus you do get a sense that there is more to his personality than meets the eye.
October 29th, 2012 @ 5:28pm
This in the series and you can see how the in-game art has improved so much and somewhat looks better than Gemini Rue, though I had no idea which one is better. A very fun game with same controls as last time, only now you can't combine notes in the note book and draw up conclusions.
October 26th, 2012 @ 9:17am
A Interesting sequal. this time you play as the girl's aunt and get to switch places with Joey, which adds more to the gameplay by using the ghost for certain things and her for others, including how to interact with ghosts.

Things have certainly become more interesting and there are now bigger questions to ask, leading me to want to know more about what'll happen in the future and what's going on behind the scenes as well as who Joey was when he was alive.
October 25th, 2012 @ 5:42pm
As the first it does it's job in setting up the gameplay and the story, however I felt the story didn't get started fast enough, but that's just my opinion. I swear is some asshole hangs outside a building, claiming to know everyone I'd thump him.

A fun little adventure game with a lot of questions about the metaphisical and what happens to spirits when they finally pass on either with sins as living or sins they developed whilst a spirit. Wadjet games appear to be all about the story which is why I'm going to keep supporting this company.
October 24th, 2012 @ 5:28pm
Cool to see it's available, though me and others have already got it via pre-order. I can't wait for the other stuff they might have for DLC.
October 23rd, 2012 @ 6:09pm
Just amazing. I was so worried when I saw the other xcom being developed by 2K, changing a turn based strategy franchise (which admittidly became a air combat and then terrible 3rd person before it died) into a FPS set in a totally different time period.

The guys here did it right and I know purists are going to argue about squad size and blah blah, but to be honest, the old game get VERY boring when you were moving 14 people around the screen and your soldiers not having peripheral vision would make me rage-quit the old game. It's not like if you're in a combat situation you are just going to be stareing forward into a blank wall.

That said, this game has a lot to offer and how the aliens change tactics and behave intelligently (depending on difficult) makes it for a fun replayable game, not to mention pitting yourself against friends or random players to see if you win the combat or not. The team have worked very hard and have DLC lined up for the future.
October 19th, 2012 @ 4:42am
That game REALLY makes you think. With no jump button it is far harder than you think due to switching between floors and ceilings. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for some retro fun and a real challenge.
October 9th, 2012 @ 4:49pm
More of the last one, however instead of it being one planet (or one side of the planet) you have 4 planets and 3 moons to conquer, making things in the campaign much longer. You can no longer keep buildings in areas you conquered like the last game, unless you have the foward basses ability. you can steal abilities off other races when you defeat them which gives you great boons and in this one two new groups appear. The sisters of combat and the Dark Eldar. This makes it a huge campaign and a lot of choice for people who want to play multiplayer and more fun than Dark Crusade.
September 18th, 2012 @ 3:14pm
An absolutely amazing game. I'm a bit of a fan of the TV show, but this game blows that out of the water. Same setting, but with many different characters. The main feature of this game is the choices that you do which branch off into other episodes of the game, reflected in the attitudes of people in the way they act towards you.

Some will resent you for not helping them or their family when they needed you and others will help you in a tight situation because you helped them in turn. Really, you could play this game multiple times, getting all kinds of things done.

What you also have to be mindful of is the girl you took to looking after, Clementine. She's a young girl who you have to protect and your actions are going to influence her in how she acts around you and others. In some situations you only have a limited window to speak or otherwise you either don't act or speak and they take things in their own hands. This game is both honourable to the series and unique story too.
September 16th, 2012 @ 1:39pm
A simple game of moving around as a block, collecting blocks and getting to the end point in a record time and amount of lives.

Certainly very fun for the casual gamer and well worth the price.
September 15th, 2012 @ 1:23pm
Wasn't sure what to think about this game when alex introduced it to me. I found it hard to believe that there were league and championships dedicated to play this let alone the hype behind it, though that could be my doupts due to it's link with blizzard.

It's very fun and here Valve are just laughing at the bank with the game as people loved the origonal so much. In this case, you might as well just give your money to valve, it's making that much. Very fun RPG, yet hard to explain. You get to pick a character, level him/her/it up and the objective is to destroy the enemy base.

Each base creates small creatures called "creeps" and you gain gold for xp by killing creeps and destroying towers. In this case the creeps are red-shirts, running into battle and no real loss when they die. You can download it for free, spectator a match and see what you think. what do you have to lose?
September 14th, 2012 @ 8:11am
I quite enjoyed this. It's interesting that the studio took a different direction by making this as quite a dark game. No comedy unlike their previous games. However unfortunately I found it quite short, lasting only 5 hours by my clock. I suggest if you like adventure games to only buy this on a sale as the twists in it you don't see coming.
September 8th, 2012 @ 8:55am
Finally finished it and loved every moment of it. I missed quite a bit here and there and would like to play it again, just to see all the many different things that could've happened, depending on my decisions.

Just like the first game, what you do causes a ripple both in a positive and negative way. You save one man, he might become a problem later. You kill another, you then find out he could've helped you later. This game really makes you think about your choices and what should be ethical or acceptable.

Again, just like the first one you get to see what happens to people, depending on what you do.
September 7th, 2012 @ 3:58pm
Not too sure what to say about this one. with this one they have changed the game entirely since Winter Assult and instead you are on a map. You have to take over territories, each giving a boon of somekind and the game is over when you have driven all other races off the planet.

With this change there are quite a few interesting things to note.

1. Your general is upgradable. By accomplishing certain things you can upgrade your general in various ways which gives him/her boons. For example, one upgrade made it so Taldeer can spot infiltration enemies and another gave her the ability to regenerate faster and those of troops around her.

2. Certain missions are far more than simply (destroy enemy HQ) and involve more difficult tasks like collecting a number of units or destroying certain objectives. All this makes it feel like they actually put thought into it.

3. Invading the Homebase. The homebase battles are absolutely EPIC! Definantly buy this if you have the others.
September 1st, 2012 @ 6:34pm
A great game and very fun. It takes me back as I remember playing Warhammer 40k as a kid since I had no group of friends who enjoyed dungeon mastering. Many of the units are very memorable of that past time and the story of this is one-sided (unlike the expansions) though memorable. It will suck you in though and hours will go by without knowing it.
August 28th, 2012 @ 5:40pm
A dark and yet enjoyable little game where all the problems appear to be based on physics. It's a great problem solving game with quite a dark and foreboding atmostphere. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys platforming.
August 19th, 2012 @ 7:33am
Hmm what to say about this? Well for starters it's a bit more of the first so if you liked that one you'll fine some pleasure in this. Things went quite well, though what I hate is I can't seem to organise the group in how they move or where they go so sometimes in battles my party either ends up spead everywhere near enemies which can be good or still several miles away which is a pain in the ass.

They added a cooking mechanic which is new, unfortunatly you do not cook yourself but get someone else too. navigation is a pain as some characters seem to blend into the background. I never knew Sir Silver was standing by the Princess until late in the game where I had completed most of the quests.

Voice acting is quite hit and miss sometimes saying something quite different to what the textboxes say and right at the end it seems to be a real miss with the option *End Conversion* turning into -Translation Missing- and everything about the end seemed quite rushed.
August 16th, 2012 @ 8:46am
This is a truely amazing game. I was expecting your standard point and click adventrure game, but this one has really set the bar high on impressive storytelling and unexpected twists.

This is a gem for anyone who loves adventure game and deep stories. In this you start play as a detective who looks for a man who can find him where his brother is, but he never turns up for your meeting and so you go looking for him. This friend also knows the location of your character's brother, who he's trying to find.

You also get to play as one of the prisoners in a rehabilitation centre omnimously named, Centre 7. You play as a man named Delta-Six who has his memory erased for the second time because he had attempted to escape. As him you attempt to break out yet again.

Again, I highly recommend it to everyone.
August 10th, 2012 @ 4:58pm
Very fun game, I in fact own 3 copies of this. Laptop where I bought the origonal, PS3 where I got it on Sale and here where I also got it on sale. An amazingly fun game whilst it lasts and there's always the chance to try and one-up your friends on the endless modes.
August 7th, 2012 @ 10:05am
As with all the others done by the same company it's a fun adventure title with a lot of laughs. However the flower puzzle near the end can die in a coal fire for all I care, argh.

It seems to be based on the same UI as the last Runaway game, meaning you get a button to ask for help and a button to see all the hotspots just in case you believe you are missing something, but not sure what. not to mention, the help was far better too.

Love the ending and it's quite a interesting political story to it too. Can't wait to try out their other game, Yesterday.

A very fun and basic RPG of sorts with many interesting ideas.

Okey, here's the set up. The world is being oppressed by the empire and people who commit crimes get thrown into a one-way portal that leads into a underworld deep beneither the ground. You start with a group of 4 people (of different classes and looks you can change) who were all thrown down here in this hellhole, but you soon learn that this prison thrives with cities and villages, however there are of course many monsters that make like down in Avernum difficult.

You have Goblins, Niphilim (cat people), Ogres, Dragons, Giant Vermin, humans and many, many more threats making life in Avernum hell. I highly recommend this game for anyone who is a fan of RPGs. It's pretty open with you being allowed to hunt down and kill whatever you like in case you want to kill monsters and steal their loot or kill the townsfolk and steal their loot, though you won't get any quests from them.

Not my cup of tea personally, the trailer made it look like some spooky adventure game, however all it really is, is a very well done up island with a man narrating his story. Quite interesting and gets you interested immediately, but there is no action and no threat so I've grown quite bored of it quickly.

Great if you love it, nothing wrong with that just not my cup of tea, is all.

The final part of the three part series of Runaway. As always it's quite funny and easy to get sucked into it, however the problem I had with it was the catch up from the last game when you learn everything was done a little too fast and changed the voice for Brian Basco and a few others (I don't know for what reason) and it's REALLY noticable, as if the guy wasn't even trying to imitate the previous voice actor's way of speaking or tone of voice at all.

Quite dissappointing on the voice side of things, but if you can get over that, it's still quite a fun ride, especially with the implimentation of ways to see hotspots for when you miss some (a complaint I had from the first two games) and even a hint giver who makes jokes about Pendulo Studios employees. However the ending I loved and I can't wait to get stuck into their other adventures. Yesterday and The Next Big Thing.

An interesting hybrid between FPS and platforming which is a risky move considering Oddworld have only ever done platforming, but their own humour comes into it and using insects and small animals as ammunition is always funny. You have many RPG elements with upgrading weapons, health and so on by buying stuff from the store and getting far more money from catching the person alive rarther than dead.

I highly recommend this to any fan of the oddworld series. Not yet seen the end, but it is an amazing game that I've had trouble to stop playing.
July 20th, 2012 @ 7:24am
A must have for fans of the origonal oddworld games. This one being in 3D might cheese some people off, but the creators have put a lot of effort into this, making new types of enemies to fight, out-think or control. The humour is fun as always and the chance for multiple endings will entice you for multiple play throughs.
July 2nd, 2012 @ 7:48am
Very enjoyable and more of the first one. This one has a storyline you certainly can't predict and it has that comedy to it too. :) If you enjoyed the first one you should definantly buy this right away, it's fun and awesome!

This is a very fun little point and click adventure title. The story itself is very involving and it's got a good sense of humour, however the mechanics I find are a bit of a pain in the ass. Certain items you can pick up are not visable or highlighted on the screen so often you are running around like a headless chicken, having no idea what you are missing. Sometimes they are in the foreground, but not highlighted which makes things more difficult or it's inside a mudane item. Another annoying thing is it does one of the problems I don't like with some adventure titles where there is clearly a item of interest and when you try to interact with it the character is like "I don't know what I'd use it for" plus your invantory gets wiped when entering a new chapter. I mean did he seriously think "Oh a crowbar, don't think I'll need that anymore." but I digress, the story is quite involving and you only have 2 options with what to do with items. Worth every penny.

The Sequal to X-com: UFO Defence or "UFO: Enemy Unknown" as named in the UK. It starts off showing what happened after you destroyed the alien base and that they had a plan up their sleeve, firing off a pod of somekind into the sea where new under-water aliens now appear.

A few problems I have with this is most likely a problem with the game or dosbox because sometimes the sound comes out wrong. However for gameplay like the first game I swear the aliens have a far better vision and can see in the dark, even though people have claimed in walkthroughs that they can't and don't have better vision.

Honestly, I stll love this game though. The environments are quite creepy with new and terrorfying (sometimes comical) undersea aliens. You also research new types of submarines, even those that fly out of water to track UFOs. The bases I find are more difficult than the first game and more challenging. That's all I have to say, game on :)

There are quite a few new units in this and a new story to each faction and as you can guess, it's under the assumption that the allies won, oh joy.

Anyway, there are 4 campaigns to choose, allies, soviets, empire and yuriko which is a personal story about the special unit the empire have, Yuriko Omega. You have to play the soviets first though a mission or two to unlock the others and the only two stories I like in this one is the soviets and Yuriko's because I could understand why they want to do stuff, but the other two is merely a grab for power and such.

Alll in all, nice new units, but the campaigns are a bit short so it's a okey buy and you don't need red alert 3 to run so maybe buy it when it's on sale like I did, I believe. Unless you are a HUGE fan of C&C.

This is quite a funny little adventure. The best way to describe it would be as "Noob's first point-and-click adventure" and I say this for a few reasons.

1. You are given a general tutorial on what to do, but also you are given a hint ability in the form of a parrot names Juan.

2. When you hover your mouse over something you can interact with, the name shows up in purple if something new will happen, white if there's nothing more interesting about it, same with using items with it.

3. This might sound a bit silly coming from me, but they're Anthros, though in a more "kid-friendly" sort of way and it's quite harmless with no scenes of blood or violence let alone swear words.

As you can see it seems to be aimed as a younger age range, however I enjoyed playing it because it was atleast a little funny and it makes you feel smart by being so easy and many different collectables in the game. Crackers (to use for hints if stuck), peices of eight and flag peices. A fun and harmless game.
May 6th, 2012 @ 4:16pm
More of the first only some of the puzzles are absolutely diabolical! Much of it sitting upon guess work out of nowhere and as if they're trying as hard as possible to make you lose a this game, though I'm not certain if the ending is a cliff hanger or not, it didn't wrap up certain things imo.
April 29th, 2012 @ 1:42pm
A very fun game with lots of puzzle solving, I'd highly recommend this if you are a fan of puzzles. the story is also quite involving where you enter the small town of Scoggins where you run into many suspecious people, kinda like a lovecraftian town where the people wish to be let along and make the visitor feel unwelcome. Beware, some puzzles will have you pulling out your hair.

A fun little strategy game worth the money. The combat is very strategic in a...how shall I say it...well it's like tetris where when your army comes on the field they are in rows, you can move around only 1 unit at a time and the idea is to match a set of 3 for that unit to attack. you also get more powerful units that require two core units of the same colour then really powerful ones that require four.

The story is pretty standard with the "Oh no, we're being attacked by monsters" then it being revealed early on that there is more to it than that, but the gameplay is quite addictive. Anything with quests you get from bountys gains points in my book. There are also the puzzle challenges where you are given units to defeat the enemies units and the idea it to beat all the units in a single round action, which is harder than it sounds. I managed to do 6/8 without using a guide and it's a nice brain teaser that rewards you when you've completed it. Buy only if you like strategy.
April 23rd, 2012 @ 2:38pm
A interesting little game I guess, not too much to say about it as I got it with a bunch of other games for cheap. The blocks constantly move around, some are trapped and others give out gems or coins, though I've yet to find out what to use them for besides scores.

I'd only recommend this if you just want a simple game with no complex story or gameplay, just something to pass the time.
April 19th, 2012 @ 5:30am
Been sucked into the world of Skyrim recently. I think when I last played a elder scrolls game (marrow wind) I was more interested in other games and the story didn't have me too involved since it was such a open world, however this is quite different and they've clearly improved in many places, especially one problem I found was the old jurnal system, this is FAR better and steam woreshop to upload mods just makes it so much better to do simple things like fix errors, better UI, optional beginings and so on. I havn't touched many of the cosmetic mods, but this game is definantly worth the price. However I recommend getting it only if you have the free time. It's a HUGE world and there are a lot of things to do in it no matter if you choose to be a somewhat nice guy or a evil bastard.
April 19th, 2012 @ 5:09am
A fun defence game where you get to kill Orcs! You unlock new traps and depending on your rating you can upgrade traps to be even more devestating. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a little fun with this game, though be very careful with the upgrades at the later levels can be really daunting.
April 9th, 2012 @ 6:45am
A beautifully made clean up of the origonal with improved graphics, whilst keeping true to the game and adding voice acting in it too. Definantly worth a buy if you want to play the first monkey island game and you don't have Dosbox or Scummvm to play the origonal on.
April 9th, 2012 @ 4:40am
I'd say this game is similar to boarderlands in the reguard that it is far more fun when you are playing with someone, but at the same time if you are interested in the survival story of a zombie apocolypse then this game will also be right up your path.

The opening I love and the lyrics are stuck in my head, even though I don't like rap that much and when getting to the character selection you get a detail on what their speciality is (american's skill is throwing, chinese woman's skill is sharp weapons, black guy's skill is bludgeoning weapons and black girl's skill is guns.) and you get to learn about their past and who they are as they narrate their backstory to you. It also gives you a option to stop yourself if you mis-clicked and you aren't stuck with a character you didn't want to play as.

Weapons break after so many uses and different weapons are more resistant. Guns have no durability so won't break. So far I've attained mods and many other collectables over the island.
April 6th, 2012 @ 10:49am
The sequal to an absolutely awesome FPS that was origonally just added to the HL2 pack as a bit of a minor thing, but as since evolved greatly.

The main game is just as fun, if not more-so with the taunts by GlaDOS and the new AI that comes on scene but the two player isn't bad neither two people who have portal gun and the puzzels being far more difficult due to there being two portal guns to use in this.

A damn fun game and the single player adds a lot more with the new Gel that they put into the game too.
April 6th, 2012 @ 10:40am
A fun little strategy game with many different objectives and you can get crates that'll give you that power that might give you the edge you need to take control of the battlefield.
March 27th, 2012 @ 5:09pm
Now this is a fun shooting game. You run around killing bugs that are from another world. Not story heavy, just big-assed bugs are here and it's time to kill them.

You get to upgrade your weapons and armour and have a choice of different troops to fight the aliens with be they heavy guys with massive weapons or small, light armed soldiers that can fly in the air for a set amount of time. I definantly recommend this if you just want to play a game for fun. Not managed to get into multi-player yet, but that will most likely enhance the fun. You can also revive teamates like in SR3.
December 27th, 2011 @ 12:36pm
This game is really awesome! It blows most indie games out o the water with it's creative atmostphere. There is no reading for dialog and no voices as it is all monologued by the first man you meet in the game and it's done beautifully.

The RPG elements revolve around the bar you first build where as you go up in levels you gain slots to put in different potions that give your characters different passive/conditional boosts like 15% damage resistance, +10% max health and many others. Also you are able to upgrade your weapons from the items you pick up, each one giving your weapon a different boost like faster reload time, increased damage and you have to choose between the two, but once it's bought you can alter the upgrades to change for whatever situation you think you'll run into like increasing the spread of a blunterbuss or instead going for improved damage.

You also get a chance to go to what's known as "Who-knows-where" to fight waves of enemies to grind out xp and "cash".
December 24th, 2011 @ 11:18am
No idea how they made it work, but they did. they managed to merge MMORTS with MMOFPS. Basically as the commander you get to build structures to help the team protect resource points like turrets, dispensers and so on and they can be various classes specialised in many differthing ways. 4 main classes, but each of those has 3 selections to their abilities (except the exo who has only 2).

A enjoyable game and a lot of fun trying to outthink the enemy commander and get into his base. Team work is the best for this game as you will need to focus your abilities to outsmart the enemy and then win the game. Definantly worth a look at.
December 23rd, 2011 @ 1:55am
definantly an addictive RPG. In this you have a army with a turn-based mechanic and each army type is represented by a single person that walks across the hex grid. When they take damage depending on how much it is either just harmed a single unit or killed a number of troops. You also have spells to enhance or hamper the enemy.

Some items in the game can be upgraded or cursed items have the curses surpressed by entering them like Disgiea. By doing this not only is the item enhanced to better than it was before, but you get xp and gold.

Whatever you equip you main character, the armyy will get those same benefits. For example a high defence will boost their defence so that they take less damage. Boosting your attack will boost their's.

All in all it's a fun game and clearly they enjoy mocking fantasy games so it pokes a little fun at itself which is often subtle and also enjoyable. Some quests really do make you smile. For going on the cheap it's worth it. :)
December 23rd, 2011 @ 1:51am
Anyone who likes strategy games will love this game. There is also a interesting story involving strang and terrorfying shadow-creatures from a evil realm. the gameplay is great and I love turn-based strategt games like this and if you like the sound of this you should get it :)
December 13th, 2011 @ 1:52pm
Fun little indy game where you destroy buildings in many halerious ways by using the human's own cars to fly straight into explosive containers and buildings. Perfect for the casual gamer or if you just want to have fun blowing crap up.
November 16th, 2011 @ 2:33pm
If you plan to buy saints row the third, this is a great thing to have. Basically it's for you to make a character, pre-prepared for saints so once oyu get it you can just import the character and away you go.
November 14th, 2011 @ 7:52am
The game is a turn-based strategy where you have command of heroes who are attempting to foil the evil followers of "the mother of god". It starts out with the main character being a emo who was the only one ever to fail at the commander achademy and attempt to sacrifice himself until a Paladin names the "Holy Avatar" comes to your aid and inspires you to fight against the forces of darkness.

Like Deathspank, this game has tongue-in-cheek humour at fantasy styled RPGs and MMOs with some silly enemies that'll bring a smile to your face such as savage mushrooms and sabre-toothed bunnies. There are even green mushrooms that when killed you hear the maro 1hp trune play and even see a 1hp appear.

All character have unique abilities and you have to think tactically in order to fight back and cut down the enemy. A fun little game and good to have a little laugh at too.
November 14th, 2011 @ 5:42am
A old game, but definantly fun and worth the small price. You play as the ghost master, commanding ghosts and going on missions to scare hapless mortals and rescue trapped ghosts, but the mortals are not without their defences. Beware of Mediums, Witches and the Ghost Breakers (cause clearly breakin' makes you feel good) who will hunt down your ghosts and attempt to exorcise them from the haunting location.

This is a game I would love to see a sequal to as there are things that need a bit of altering to it with not much re-play value apart from attaining new powers by revisiting levels and scaring the wits out of people, which is always entertaining.
November 14th, 2011 @ 5:33am
A very addictive game that I can't get enough of. Laptop runs it, but not too well yet it still works. It's a great game and you can either decide to have a auto-decision due to what units you have and how many or you can go straight onto the battle field which is what I do whenever I get attack on the main base since it never factors in the wall defence with the archers at where I turn every approching units into pin coushins.

Amazing game and well worth the price for anyone who loves Strategy games or even just the Japanese culture overall.
September 12th, 2011 @ 12:57pm
Damn fun game. Pity I needed the Hard Drive space and my internet isn't the best, but it was well worth it just for the fun to go around killing zombies. Not to mention it's fun when you get to play as the zombies.
September 12th, 2011 @ 12:52pm
Hell yeah! This game is just tons of fun. Even though it is a FPS you don't gain any offensive weapons. All you have a the portal gun which can open up two holes. A blue one and a amber one where you can travel through. This helps you teleport and jump due to the increased momentum as well as defeat enemy turrets by knocking them down by letting them fall through a hole or even if a missile is aimed at you the portal can be used to travel though, miss you and hit the turrent or something. Not to mention there is the classic song "Still Alive" and the popular line "The Cake is a Lie" , plus it's based in the Half-Life universe.

A game that is well worth it and can run on low spec very well. Afterall, it ran on my laptop brilliantly and that's amazing these days. Can't wait to get Portal 2.
September 12th, 2011 @ 12:51pm
Now you are playing as the Black Mesa soldiers who are invading and killing everything they see, however you too get sucked into the strangeness of Half-life. Action packed and filled with fun. If you enjoyed Half-life you'll enjoy this addition too.
September 12th, 2011 @ 12:44pm
I love this edition as it adds more to the Half-life story on the otherside as a security guard. You might not think much, but this addition has had the same TLC as the main game itself.
September 12th, 2011 @ 12:42pm
Great new episode with another bunch of new alien creatures to kill. These episodes were meant to release the rest quicker rarther than simply making a Half-Life 3, but this has taken sometime and there is still no sign of Episode Three.
September 12th, 2011 @ 12:40pm
Nice extension and continues right off the bat from the end of Half-life 2. Not much more to say from memory besides that if you played HL2 then you should certainly get this. I suggested getting the Orange Box.
September 12th, 2011 @ 12:39pm
Far, FAR better thanthe origonal. The beefed up the graphics, and yet my laptop could still play it very well. New aliens appear and old ones get a nice new polish added to them. Having breakable environments and the new grav gun and ability to pick up items makes the world far more interactive and easy to emerse yourself in this game.

If you have played the first one and not this one then what the hell are you doing?
September 9th, 2011 @ 7:58am
Can't have enough fun with this game. As long as you have a good internet connection you'll have fun and the achievements are halerious too :)
September 9th, 2011 @ 7:52am
Had incredible fun when I finally got to place this game. First I played the PS2 version but this is FAR better. Intense story line, great controls and bosses that don't die from simply shooting them. This is a FPS where you use your brain.
September 9th, 2011 @ 7:51am
Very fun little game with a lot of construction and open world things to do. I highly recommend looking on the wiki so you don't collect stuff that you might never use and find out what to do once you've gotten as far as you can go (getting gold armour and equipment)
July 6th, 2011 @ 1:42pm
Never played the first one, but this game is pretty fun if you're looking for a RTS that's futuristic and definantly a lot of fun. This is definantly a game that interests me and to me is a nice replacement to forget about the disgrace that is C&C 4.
June 4th, 2011 @ 6:02am
Very fun, though takes a while to complete, atleast for me. I love this game so far, it's really awesome :)
