One of my favorite games I've played this year. A perfect blend of action-roguelike gameplay and light colony-sim/base building elements. The main gameplay loop is so addicting. Run a Crusade (the roguelike runs), collect resources and new followers along the way, then when you either beat the boss at the end of the level or die you go back to base. There you can use your newly acquired resources and followers to build up your base. Your followers generate Devotion points which is used to buy new buildings. You also have to keep their faith up, keep them fed, and do sermons to upgrade your core Crusade abilities, not to mention clean up their poop. There are also other locations you can visit when not doing a run, most of which have some sort of side mission for you to complete.

Overall this game is great, not too hard, and oddly relaxing. The fights can get a bit sweaty but you can always lower the difficulty if you don't want too much of a challenge. There is so much thrown at you at the beginning, it can be a bit hard to stick with it, but eventually you'll get into a routine of how things should work and what you need to do before leaving your base.

As much as I loved the game, it did overstay its welcome just a tiny bit, running me about 22-25 gameplay hours to fully complete it. I was partially relieved to finally beat it. I did spend a lot of time re-running Crusades to grind some resources and have 100%'d nearly all unlocks in the game besides cosmetic stuff and a few tarot cards (Crusade abilities that last for the duration of the run), but it was a damn fun game in the end.

9/10

Great game if you are already a fan of Bethesda games, especially Fallout 4. There are tons of mechanics that will feel familiar to you, such as crafting, companions, outposts and traversal. It’s all under the sci-fi space guise with some new additions.

The gunplay feels great and much improved. It’s fast, snappy and feels weighty and powerful. Companions are mostly good in combat, similar to Fallout 4 you can use their inventory to have them equip different weapons. Adoring Fan with a grenade launcher and impact grenades is terrifying.

Movement is great in this game too. If you’re the type of person who enjoys jumping on top of buildings and getting yourself into places the devs wouldn’t think you should go, this game will be great for you. The boostpack makes this game so fun, and it’s got upgrades and crafting to make it more powerful.

Space travel is entirely fine to me, not sure why people keep complaining about it unless they were somehow under the impression that this will be like NMS where you can fly in and out of planets atmospheres. You can’t, it’s all fast travel under the guise of “grav-jumping”, which is perfectly fine once you get the hang of it. To travel to different systems, you must grav-jump along a path to get there and you may need to go one system at a time given how much fuel you have. Once you are in a system or planet, you can fast travel back to anywhere you’ve been before. This makes looting and exploring so much better than having to fly back to every single planet you’ve ever been to manually. There are so many main places you need to visit that are far apart, it would suck if you couldn’t fast travel. As long as you have a fast SSD (I have a 3500mb/s M2 SSD), load times are never more than 8 seconds max, but I’d say they average 2-5 seconds. It’s very quick.

Perk system is awesome, I love how it is a blend of Oblivion and Skyrim. Skyrim because you choose a perk to unlock, then Oblivion because you have to use the perk to be able to upgrade it. You do have to unlock simple stuff like Lockpicking(security) or pickpocketing, which to me is a waste of points early game to do basic stuff you’ve always been able to do in Bethesda games, but it’s fine. This game really feels like you should get to NG+ quickly so you can have more points to spend of higher tier stuff, which I’m not a huge fan of because I want to unlock all this stuff on my first playthrough, but it does add to the replayability.

NPCs ‘usually’ look great, especially named NPCs with special dialogue. Voice acting and facial animations are top notch and look great. Just wish they could fix some of the very slight delay between lines. I understand it being in their older games, but I feel like by now they should have worked on this dialogue flow to be more human like. You know what I mean, in old Bethesda games there would be a very slight pause between dialogue lines, it’s better here but still not the best. Tiny nitpick.

Graphics look good but I couldn’t tell you too much, the game is so unoptimized I have to play on all LOW settings. It’s okay, looks just as good as FO4, and with DLSS 3.5 mod I get better frames, but in big areas I get about 30-45fps.

Overall I think this game is great especially if you are a big fan of Fallout 4. If you enjoy the gameplay loop of shooting, looting, selling stuff to make money, then spending your money, this game is great. The RPG mechanics work good and you can have tons of different play styles. I would give this game a 8.5/10.

It's a really fun game at $5. It's a bit disorientating at first since it's full 360 degrees of movement but you start to get used to it.
The major problem with this game is the lack of players. I wish this game would go free to play or at least free to own for a short period of time to repopulate the servers. I was able to play with a full 4-person group for about 5-6 matches which was great. But that was kind of lucky, as finding a full server can take a long time to matchmake.

Incredible game. Really hard to describe the experience itself. It's one of those games where it's best not to know about the story and just play it yourself. Basically you go to a town, talk to people, make pizzas and take pictures. Slowly you start to unravel the secret truth behind why everyone loves drinking the local energy drink in Off-Peak City.

This is Cosmo D's most intricate game. The camera system is perhaps one of the most enjoyable in any game I've played. The characters are all very interesting. The world feels like you're in Rocko's Modern Life. It's all strange, weird, and lovable.

My only complaint is that it ended just as it started to ramp up in drama. I wanted to spend more time exploring the world and characters, plus I only got 75% of the achievements so there was some dialogue I missed. However, this didn't ruin my overall enjoyment of the game.

Highly recommend for anyone who has played Cosmo D's previous games, or anyone who likes bizarre first person adventure games .

Fun, simple tower defense game. Pick it up on sale, this game is not worth $10 full price since it's almost literally a direct port of the mobile version. Microtransactions and large buttons give it away very obviously.

However, at $0.99 on sale, it's a blast. I have Bloons 5 on my phone and this one feels a lot better and upgraded in many ways, though very similar. Recommended to anyone who enjoys tower defense games or wants something casual, quick and easy to pick up and play.

Truly only for fans of Saints Row IV. It's more of the same, but a lot leaner. There isn't many actual "story" missions, you're just doing activities and diversions to fill a meter until you can face Satan. Along that meter are two milestones which activate story missions, but once again, you're just doing diversions over and over until you get to it.
You collect orbs to upgrade your abilities just like SR4, and there are other upgrades you buy with Wages. You can buy and upgrade guns via vending machines found around the world. There is no customization, but for how short this game is, I'm kind of glad there isn't.
Flying in this game is an absolute blast, and the flying races are probably the funnest diversions in the game, although they're pretty short. Most only take about 45 seconds - 1:25 minutes to get the Gold rating, which is not hard to get once you get the hang of maneuvering quickly while flying.
The story is pretty good. There are lots of call backs to past Saints Row games, mostly 4. Playing as Gat is obviously fun as hell, though his random quips while flying and fighting get pretty repetitive and annoying after a while, good thing this game is short.
If you are a completionist, this game might be good for you since the bulk of the game is doing side missions and collecting stuff.

Overall, I'd get this if it were really cheap on sale, not full price, and only if you liked Saints Row IV. It lacks a lot of what made SR4 unique, creative and funny, though in 5 hours, there is some fun to be had. My suggestion is to blast through the game as fast as you can.

It's pretty much Postal 2: Part 2. If you loved the base game, you'll love this just as much.
