You want a sign from God? Here it is.

John

United States

Everything that makes you -- you is just chemical reactions in the brain. Synapses firing on and off neutrons constantly exchanging information. When you die, your brain, starved of oxygen, shuts down. The electrical synapses also stop firing, your heart stops pumping blood, and you rot in the ground.

Why are humans SO extrourdinary that they deserve an afterlife?

According to the Bible, when your pet dies, nothing happens. Humans don't deserve anything better.

Beneath the thin veneer of civilization lies a howling madness, and the average normal
human being has the ability to commit genocide during the day, then come home and
tuck the kids in at night, or to ignore the pain of a billion people in misery while mowing
the lawn or doing christmas shopping.

The problems of life are all symptoms of the same cause. The locks on your doors
which you need to keep out burglars, the schoolyard bully, the serial killer, the drug
addict, the drug dealer, the billionaire who thinks he's being exploited by the poor, the
millions of soldiers fighting for peace, the enslavement or slaughter of entire races of
people, and your own unhappiness, all are interconnected. They are all part of one
problem.

I wish I could define the problem for you, or offer a solution. Human beings seem to
have a basic design flaw. We're a fucked up species, striving to be healthy and happy
while simultaneously destroying ourselves and each other in a million different ways.

The only positive note I can end this on is that it's better to understand all this than to be
ignorant of it, I think.

Home of the Barrow Gang

The Joplin Garage Hideout is a safe house for the members of the Barrow Gang (Bonnie and Clyde's notorious gang). So come in and relax and have fun, but please be respectful to other members. No racial slurs, and language should be tailored for your neighbor. Meaning that if someone asks for something to stop, then please be courteous.

If you are ever having problems on one of our servers (Joplin Hideout or Joplin's Anarchy), if you would like to make suggestions, or if you just want to chat then you can contact either of us through email or through online chat. Bonnie's email address is bonnie@joplinhideout.net and Clyde's is clyde@joplinhideout.net.

We are planning some exciting new things with our group and server. Feel free to invite your family and friends to the group, so they can join in on the fun!! We will send announcements with the details as they develop. We are in the process of building a website and with it can assign email addresses to people. The benefit of this is that you can share an email address with your online friends without giving up your privacy. Webmail is enabled on the email or you can open it through your mail client. If you would like an address then please contact Clyde with your desired name the extension will be @joplinhideout.net (whatever@joplinhidout.net). I will be sending an announcement about this and will be posting details as the website moves along.
