Super Crate Box is an extremely simple, extremely addictive game that has you running around, collecting boxes, and shooting/slashing/blowing up strange monsters that kill you instantly if you touch them. Each crate gives you one point, and there are three areas to choose from, each with three difficulty modes (two of the difficulty modes are unlockable). The higher scores you get, the more characters, weapons, and difficulty modes. With each crate you get, your weapon will change randomly, which increases the difficulty since some weapons are massively destructive and others totally suck. Super Crate Box is maddeningly fun and an iOS version is also available (but isn't free).

The original Fortix was a very fun re-invention of the timeless Qix formula, blended with strategy to create a fresh and highly addictive arcade action experience. This marvelous sequel improves upon the original in every conceivable way. No longer can you simply draw lines across the middle of the screen in most of the levels. This sequel is less simplistic, tougher, longer, more polished, and better in every conceivable way - AND it includes updated versions of all of the original levels from the first Fortix. What are you waiting for? If you're a fan of old-school, retro-style fun, you owe it to yourself to give Fortix 2 a whirl. You won't regret it.

A cross between Virtua Fighter and Super Smash Bros., Brawl Busters is an arena brawler filled with fun combat, outlandish moves, and customizable characters. The more you play, the more rep you earn, which allows you to level up and earn additional content. Brawl Busters is a terrific free-to-play game that everyone should try.
