I like to shoot things. I have various games in which to do this.
Always happy to make new friends, especially if it means I have more people I can play co-op or multiplayer with, in any game.
PS: I'm a chick :P
This game has had bittersweet reviews and I suppose this is another one.
I love the AI mechanics in battle, I love the weaponry, I love the gadgets.
But I've honestly only played up to the point where I need to race cars to progress the storyline, because I don't like car racing games, and I suck at them.
More shooting please.
Ignore the bugs and you'll have a good time. Sometimes it can be a bit frustrating, but overall I'm finding this game quite enjoyable. Controlling your hits and swings to conserve stamina and your weapons longevity is really interesting.
It takes some getting used to that there's no AI director spawning random zombies (I've been spoilt by L4D) so you will get the same undead experience in co-op or solo - co-op simply makes it more fun and of course killing zombies gets a little easier. I recommend co-op for the experience, but at the same time it can be annoying if you want to level a certain character but can't get all of your co-op friends online.
After about 13 hours of play, I'm maybe one-fifth through the story. It's not hugely story-rich but there's more to it than say, L4D and its 'kill zombies to get to this spot' approach.
I'd say if you're in two minds about this game, watch some playthroughs on YouTube or borrow a friend's copy to try before you buy. Me, I think it's fun.
This game is hugely addictive. The AI director ensures every game is different, and every two weeks there's a new mutation so you can play with some variety.
Versus games are amazingly fun, either playing randoms or with friends, and a good zombie-shooting campaign is a great way to wind down after a frustrating day.
Plus if you buy it, I'm always looking for new friends to play with!
