Gives the same sense of discovery and epiphany as games like Outer Wilds and Return of the Obra Dinn. Really interesting premise and great execution.

While not as expansive as the first game, Below Zero has a very dense environment to explore and a more involved narrative. Being able to explore both land and sea is an interesting premise, as well.

I don't think this game has the same impact if you play it without playing the original Subnautica, but it still stands up well on its own.

Haven't played a Dark Souls game before, but maybe that's for the better. Went in not knowing what to expect and it was an amazing experience. Some bosses seem insurmountable but when you learn how to deal with them and finally win, you feel so empowered. Every boss, with perhaps one exception, feels difficult but fair, and taking damage almost always feels like your fault instead of the game's fault.

Dying alone in a cave has never been more charming! Vibrant, responsive, and every element of the game feels fun and interactive. There's a lot more secrets than the first game had as well.

You'll die a lot, and that's okay, but sometimes those deaths will not be your fault. On the whole the game is tough yet fair, but sometimes random level generation can create scenarios outside of your control that are simply impossible to survive, like covering the exit in lava before you get to it.

Really beautiful game, it doesn't try too hard to be deep but instead lets you draw your own meaning from the experience.

It's pure platforming goodness wrapped up in a nice simple package with kickass music. Great stuff.

Regularly finishing all the levels is pretty easily doable, but finishing all the challenges is very difficult, so you can choose your difficulty just by choosing how you play.

A fun, charming romp through a bright, cheerful world with all your space pals!

Wonder Wickets does a lot of things right, like expanding on the golf-game genre in unique ways. Being able to nudge the ball while it's travelling makes those tricky, close shots a lot less aggravating and a lot more about finesse. You can even change the amount of friction and speed the ball has, letting you try out some interesting shots and interactions with the different terrain types.

The art and sound and atmosphere is absolutely mesmerizing! All of the characters are cute, cuddly, and positively oozing with personality. There are tons of little, flavor-filled animations and effects that contribute a lot to world-building. The atmosphere is relaxed and happy-go-lucky. No drama or dark twists here, everyone is just out to have a good time.
The music is fantastic, all the tracks are bubbly and upbeat, featuring subtracks that get layered on top depending on what's happening in the game.

The level editor, good online play, and goodies subsections are just the cherries on top, adding plenty of stuff to do on the side and contributing to the game's content-rich feel.

I have experienced some rather heavy framerate issues on a couple levels, especially dark levels that have lots of dynamic lights, and the menu UI can be a little bit clunky in places, but overall the gamefeel is very good. Just whacking the ball around a level feels fun to do.

It's zany, hectic, and a great way to make friends hate each other.

It's hard to see through the blood pouring out of my eyes but from what I can tell everything is fine and everyone is happy.
