PC Gamer - Public
The world's best PC Gaming magazine and website.
If you want to join our most awesome chat (which you most certainly should do), we do have a few ground rules:
- Keep the chat civil. Lighthearted banter is fine, but don't act like a dick.
- Racist, sexist, homophobic or xenophobic language is not allowed.
- Discussing games is cool, but don't give away massive plot spoilers for new games.
- Don't promote piracy in any way. That means no download links, or asking for links to be PMed.
- Please don't ask for gifts or game/item trades in chat.
- Please don't put weapon/ item images in chat
- Don't deliberately misinterpret the rules for trolling purposes or smart-assery.
Furthermore, we request that you act like an adult when you enter the chat. That is to say that you should say hello and join in discussions politely. Do not:
- Enter chat to advertise your latest MW3 montage (or similar links)
- Enter chat and spam nonsense in order to appear quirky
- Enter chat and demand to be made an admin
And so on. This is all pretty straightforward, just be nice.
We'll usually kick on a first offence and temp ban on a second offence. If you need unbanning after a temp ban, get in touch with an admin.
We will also permaban you if:
- You're a spammer or someone phishing for account details
- You repeatedly break the rules
- You return with an alt account to avoid a previous ban

It's time for the noon rush and the price of candy has shot up 20%, the children will be coming in soon and you've just restocked your shop nventory from another succesful day of treasure hunting in the dungeons.
Unlike in other RPGs where you're the hero who goes off adventuring and selling the sutff you find to shops, you're now the shopkeeper known as Recette, whose father has fled the country and left behind a giant debt that must be paid back in payments each week otherwise Recette will be kicked to the streets as her home is sold off.
The bulk of Recettear involves studying the customers and the times they like to enter your store in order to stock the items they want to buy. As you become more succesful, your store expands, the quality of items and their prices increases and you start unlocking new adventurers to fight monsters.
Recettear is a nice diversion but don't expect a deep engaging business magement simulator like Roller Coaster Tycoon, or Tropico.
I charge head first up a ramp to breach the enemy's walls. Arrows, javelins, and rocks fly at me front in front and above. My shield deflects the shots easily and as I jump over the wall, I swing down my mace and crush an enemy archer's head in. Another few slashes and I've made a big enough space for the men following me to flow onto the walls as we slaughter every man and take the Lord of the castle captive.
The first stand-alone expansion to Mount and Blade, Warband is a free-roaming, horse-riding, medieval RPG. Making an army, conquering towns, and doing quests for your Lords and Ladies are the brunt of what you will be doing in Mount and Blade: Warband.
You can also dabble a bit in setting up trade routes, creating your own stores, and ruling over a fiancial empire, but I much prefer an empire filled with battle.
Don't bother with the next expansion, Fire & Sword. Stick to Warband. It's the best game in the series.
Just like TellTale's other poker game, "TellTale Texas Hold em" released in 2005, "Poker Night at the Inventory" is another bland, repitive entry in TellTale's attempt at a Poker game.
The changes between "Poker Night" and "TellTale Texas Hold em" is a more interesting dialouge, table and card skins, and items for Team Fortress 2.
The AI is still makes predictable choices and often, games can be won just by going all-in and forcing the AI to fold.
Stick with Zynga's Texas Hold em game. At least you'll be playing against real humans, who, although at times mimic the AI in "Poker Night," will still be entertaining as you wipe out their banks.
