The graphics could have been given better attention, but the soundtrack is one of the best.

Learning about the history of these battles and the evolution of weapon and defense technology is arguably more entertaining than the game. I recommend the campaign on easy difficulty for the first play-through due to how frustrating it can be to learn the game under pressure. The game is fairly well made, but the developers really need to dedicate some time to fixing flaws:
1. When units are near each other, they often 'glitch out', erratically moving back and forth. It's very annoying to look at. Worse, this happens with healers. Instead of healing your units, they're just glitching out in an effort to move. This forces you to micromanage the situation.
2. If you construct a worker to build something where it is standing, it moves out of the way, then sleeps instead of working on it. How stupid! Also, when commanded to build a wall, they often just build part of it until you command them to get back to work on it!
3. It would be nice if the units acted a bit more intelligently when not being micromanaged. If you attack move your troops toward an enemy fortress, your cavalry/infantry often end up just running back and forth around it instead of attacking it, and your archers often end up attacking a building while the cavalry/infantry are dying to enemy troops.
4. Cutscenes are flawed. Most notably, there were multiple instances of troops running through a closed gate!
5. In the campaign menu the date of the battle is cutoff if it's near the end of the timeline.
Considering how long this game has been out on Steam, the developers don't seem to care enough about the game to address these flaws. Despite this, I do consider the game to be good enough to get at a discount.

Grim Dawn is arguably better than Diablo 3. It's a bit rough around the edges, but the atmosphere and music are fantastic.

10tons nailed it with Dysmantle. This is the kind of game where there's always something to do. It's fun not only to play the game, but to stare at the map and plan what you want to do next. You might even find yourself thinking about the game when you're not playing it. The mystery of the unknown maintains your interest. This is just about the perfect casual survival game.

VR can be a fun social experience, but it's usually one person playing while others watch. Mass Exodus gets everyone involved. The dark, oppressive atmosphere and music create tension and excitement. The PC players can play tricks on the VR player not only with their power-ups, but through misleading speech (or lack of speech) while playing, making the game deep in strategy and entertainment. The game could certainly use some improvements, but nonetheless seems to be one of the best asymmetric VR games on the market.

Early Access Review
This is one of my most played VR games, and certainly my most regularly played VR game. For once, this is a game you can be proud of when you look at the hours played! I try to get in a session at least once a day in the evening. This is the most fun solo, indoor exercise I've ever done. There is an option for multi-player workouts, but I haven't tried that.

There are plenty of workouts to choose from, some with just punching, and others with a mix of punching and squatting. The instrumental, electronic music tracks are great, and haven't gotten old for me.

Reviewers complaining about the pacing probably aren't doing the workouts properly, or don't have the imagination to figure out ways to enhance the workouts presented by the game. More time between punches means more time to prep and perform a full punch that will workout your muscles better, and there's nothing stopping you from doing extra punches or movements outside of the ones the game is 'forcing' on you. I also use a rebounder, so I'm always in motion, even during the rest periods.

The hit recognition is pretty good. At first, I thought it was bad, but it just took some time to get the feel for it, and now I rarely miss. I got up to 380 consecutive hits in survival mode, and my controller battery died at that point, so who knows how high I would have gotten? Hit recognition is naturally dependent on the quality of your setup, and ultimately, if you're playing this game to get a workout, who cares if the hit is recognized or not? What matters is that you're doing the motion.
