I play a little bit of everything. Some of my favorite types of games include Open-World and Sandbox games, RPGs, Action-RPGs, and Roguelikes. I grew up playing a lot of platformers, and I still enjoy those, and a good Metroid-vania type game now and then.
I also enjoy FPS's, though I don't often play competitively. I like games with a good single-player component, and co-op is a big bonus. I play Minecraft, though I don't currently belong to any servers.
I have a youtube channel, linked below, where I do gameplay videos with commentary, and sometimes early-impression reviews.
This game is insane. If you're old enough to appreciate a game that simultaneously pokes fun at, and pays homage to cartoons and games from the 80's, you'll love it. If you liked Far Cry 3, you'll probably love it. If you like open-world games, over-the-top action, and the ability to stealth-kill a guy from behind, activate the grenade on this belt, and kick his ready-to-detonate body toward his allies, you'll probably have a blast. I think this is the most fun you can have with a single-player first person shooter. It's not that long, though. maybe 4 hours if you rush, 6 if you don't rush, and 8 if you try to do everything. But that's not really a bad thing. I've had fun with the game, and I'd gladly play through it again.
I've been playing this off and on since it was released (quite a lot recently), and I love it. Despite its parody-like nature, it is a fully featured rogue-like dungeon crawler, complete with a class and leveling system, tons of equipment, spells, wands, potions, and other interesting items. Several different crafting systems help make use of all the random junk you'll find in your adventure, and randomly generated levels ensure tons of replay value. The enemies are interesting and diverse, particularly in later levels. Special rooms like monster zoos, shops, treasure rooms, and lutefisk shrines (just to name a few) ensure variety. And it's an incredible value, especially if you grab it on sale.
Vast improvement in gameplay, writing, and features. Co-Op is fun, the single player story is awesome. Full of lots of memorable quotes, new gameplay elements... You should really finish the first game before playing this one, though.
