I've been playing CS since BETA 6.5 (back in the year 2000). At that time there were no SteamID's but WONID's..

The CS gameplay for that period in time was awesome, so awesome that there are still new people joining the CS scene as we speak and the game is, imo, far from dead!

Why I play CS:Source nowaydays? I didn't like the "normal" CS version after 1.3... 1.3 was, imo, the best version there was, after that, it went downwards. "Jumplag", since 1.4 you could not jump anymore as before, after a jump you kinda get stuck a sec at the ground, totally had to change the way I played, and omg I never reached the same skill level again after 1.3 :-( Also introduced after 1.3: famas, clarion, shield? sigh, they were not needed...

1.3 > 1.6

After 3 years, playing through WON, Steam was launched @ 2003 and the creation of my my "5 digit" was a fact. With Steam came 1.6, which, again was a little different, and I had to adapt to the game I love AGAIN....

CS:Source was introduced and although the gameplay may be different as my beloved CS 1.3 The graphics are doing a hell of a job!
