This game is bugged...badly. I've played a couple of games with the AI already and I can tell it does not work completely as expected. I found cards and companions that do not respond the way I expected. Then again, this game is a little complex, so I must concede that maybe I do not fully went through every card's mechanics and might be my mistake. I did not try to play this online since I played local or with AI.

Now for the good side, which leads to a positive review: This game is FUN. This version was the first one I tried, and it took one or two games to understand some mechanics; once that was done, it was incredibly fun.
It is one of the most responsive digital board games I've ever played (even with the tons of bugs that it contains!) since you can fully enjoy a complete game without facing any critical issue. Lots of characters, lots of events, many many cards and ways to play this. Lots of expansions that, even though are a little bit too expensive, give the game quite a new face and feeling on each playthrough.

The runestones system is highly criticized but it gives new players a little handicap to play a game having certain advantage if used properly. It is not an easy game, but it feels rewarding at every step.

Talisman also works as a intermediate step between easy board games (such as Monopoly) and deeper strategic board games; it has many cards, a bunch of characters with different stats and abilities, several rules, but nothing too complex or abstract as to push the player away while learning.

I highly recommend the game for the fun that it brings, and I helped some friends play it, and they liked it too, but keep in mind that as many negative reviews say, the game IS really buggy, and might be problematic for many gamers out there. I also recommend this as a tabletop game, which I'm considering to buy after my wonderful experience with this digital edition.
