This game is amazing at tell a story of the darker side of things when it comes to post aploycliptic. With an atomsphere and story telling you can actually believe in. Unlike other games such as Fallout you are forced into a Linear exploration but rewarded with a deep narritive that really shows the horrors of Post Nuclear War. The game's AI needs a little tweaking as they like to line up and perfect order for headshots but just sitting around hiding will yield so many glimpses into their lives. The one big gripe I have with this game is the video options. Normally this doesn't affect me but with a high end game like Metro, it is kind of sad to see basic of options. I've got a FX 4100 with a 7770 at time of writing. I could get a steady 30 - 35 FPS but I would get a lot of dips in some areas so be warned going into this game. Besides from a few glaring issues and bugs this game is amazing. However, it is not worth the full price. I would wait until a sale of some sort comes out then pick it up. The game may have a great story telling and pace but some of the bugs and limited replay value kind of deter it for the price. That aside though if you're looking for a bleak dark game that shows the horrors of Humanity and what we could do to ourselves, then this is a game for you. At the time of writing (release night) the game was sligthly unstable and needed some tweaks. If you need help on tweaking it just google Metro Last Light PC Gaming wiki. You will find a wealth of information that will help you make your game a better and smoother experience. Here is to 4A for trying their best to make a quality game while they had to deal with switching to new bosses.
For $20 this game is fucking amazing. The combat takes a lot of notes from The Witcher 2 and Dark Souls in which you have to dodge attacks, stay in cover and be smart. The storytelling is amazing while some anmations are janky. Though for 20 dollars this is an AMAZING deal.
