SINCE THE COMPLETELY OVERKILL PACK IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, I'M GONNA WRITE MY REVIEW FOR IT HERE .

So if you remember back during the Hypetrain event, along with this OVERKILL pack, there was a limited 50,000 Completely OVERKILL packs that carried a hefty $20 price tag. However, at the time, everything was pretty alright with the community. The pack contained 5 special masks and a new van skin which people have been asking for. People were still enjoying the game and supporting the company as any other day. It has been stated by Overkill a few times that the Completely OVERKILL pack would be completely cosmetic, but no one would know that Overkill would extort us until October 15th, 2015 when they added microtransactions to the game. Almir even stated on the last Crimefest 2015 update calling it "The Completely OVERKILL Pack safe" which, evidently, will give a safe to those who bought it. This is basically spending $20 on microtransactions for a safe that we didn't know we were buying even after they said. Let's not forget about 2 years ago when Overkill said "No. No. God, I hope not" about microtransactions for Payday 2. Knowing how much ♥♥♥♥ has been coming out of their mouths this past year alone, it's just another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ safe with more game-changing stat skins so you can buff your (now) nerfed guns that you can't collect more than one skin I'd imagine.

Here's a picture of what's gonna be inside

If I could refund this trash, I wouldn't think twice.

This is a pre-order bonus that gives you purple wings. It's a better color than the default orange since it matches Gat's jacket, and a skull weapon is like 4 times worse than like every weapon combined. So it's up to you if you wanna spend 2 extra dollars on this. You're literally missing next to nothing by not buying this.

Okay, this is my first ever legit review, so bear with me.

First things first, you DON'T need to watch the anime in order to enjoy this game, or vice versa.
If you're like me and watched the show before playing this, that's not really a big deal. You'll just notice that some charaters are missing, but that doesn't matter since this is this is basically a prequel. (Except the 2 DLC characters; Plutia and Peashy.)
Second, this is an enhanced remake of the very first Hyperdimension Neptunia game for PS3 that utilizes the battle mechanic from Victory.
Third, please play this game in Japanese, not some bad English dub where they don't even say Japanese honorifics. There are several segments where the English voices simply fail to play leaving you with just dungeon BGM and subtitles with no voices.

-Characters - 8.5
Neptune (Purple Heart), the CPU of Planeptune (representing the Sega Neptune), which is depicted as a modern-futuristic city, with skyscrapers and various streets. Nep-Nep is probably one the best female JRPG leads ever. Constant fourth-wall-breaking, pudding loving, happy go-getter. The main protagonist in most games She has a childish personality and lots of energy, and likes to jump headfirst into danger. However, her personality completely changes once she transforms into Purple Heart, taking on a much more serious and mature character.

Noire (Black Heart), the CPU of Lastation (representing the PlayStation 3), a heavily industrialized steampunk-style city. Noire is the tsundere type character that wants to get things done. She has a very individual personality and likes to perform things by herself in her own time, yet is quite forgiving and fair. She initially has a strained relationship with Neptune, who acts as her rival.

Blanc (White Heart), the CPU of Lowee (representing the Wii), a frosty, forest style city covered with white snow. She tends to get very loud and angry quite easily despite her harmless appearance. Her short temper is matched by her foul mouth, which can easily be demonstrated in almost any conversation involving her. She is flat-chested, and easily gets frustrated when reminded so.

Vert (Green Heart), the CPU of Leanbox (representing the Xbox 360), a very rocky and mountainous area, with green grass at the base of the mountains. Vert, in some ways could be considered the most caring of the four, due to her gentle way of speaking and/or ways of helping. She is quite intelligent, but overestimates her strength, and is less informed about Arfoire's monsters compared to the others. She displays signs of arrogance, and has a rivalry with Blanc, partly due to Vert's large breast size. She is also a closet otaku and has a huge liking for videogames. Sometimes it is hinted that she is a lesbian because of the way she acts around IF (or Nepgear in the anime) but hasn't been confirmed.

-Gameplay - 7.5
The battle animation is very fluid and smooth being a huge step-up from the original game. As you level up a character, you unlock more powerful combos. Although some enemies may look similar to others from previous dungeons, level-wise, they are much more hardened. The tutorials may seems really annoying, but they really do help a lot, especially if you're new to turned-based JRPGs.

-Story - 8/10
It's your pretty generic and cliche "protagonist loses something (in this case, her memory) and must get it back in order to have world peace or save the world" or something story. But in addition to that, the main characters search for four things called Key Fragments (not from World of Warcraft) to release a tome called Histoire from her seal if she has any hope in remember who she really is. For the most part, it's pretty enjoyable, the character interactions make it that much better. The 8 chapters of the game are carefully planned out, so other than the battles, there's nothing really repeated.

Side Note
-It is stated several times about the importance of Shares. Share is a term describing the amount of influence a CPU and her formed nation has over a place. The amount of share is influenced by the amount of faith and belief people has over a CPU. In addition to influence, the CPU's powers depends on the amount of acquired share. CPUs can be incapacitated if they have insufficient shares, though this is proven wrong gameplay-wise. Although in this game, that's not the case. Pretty much, all you need shares for is to get the CPU Candidates as party members.
Nepgear - Planeptune: 30% Shares for plan / 50% for being able to craft said plan.
Uni - Lastation: 30% Shares for plan / 50% for being able to craft said plan.
Ram & Rom - Lowee: 30% Shares for plan / 50% for being able to craft said plan.
Leanbox doesn't give you anything which really sucks for Vert. :/

Cons
-There is a ♥♥♥♥-ton of grinding. Sometimes it takes hours of grinding to get to a decent level where you don't get immediately thrashed by starting the next story boss. So if you don't like grinding and crafting, you could either get a trainer, or just suck it up.
-Having 6 people in a party rather than 3 is sometimes pointless. When you're fighting a tough enemy, sometimes you can miscalculate their moves. This could probably mean a quick death for one of your front-line party members. Now if said party member dies, you're unable to swap out to the other pair (like Pokemon), thus severly handicapping the fight in your favor.
-There is no autosave so you have to save very often. So if your 3 party members die during a fight, that's Game Over. It's complete overkill, dragging you all the way back to the main menu signifying you seriously messed up in life.
-This is a console port so it has gamepad buttons where it should be keys (if you play on keyboard like this pleb) It will be confusing at first, but that doesn't mean this game is unplayable, just a tad bit more complicated.

I can't wait for Re;Birth 2 and Re;Birth 3 for later this year.

Also Broccoli and Ran-Ran are the best.

This pack was originally supposed to have an RX-7 instead of an Alfa Romeo, and now everyone is angry. Great move, Ivo. 10/10

This is the only game on Steam with a Chest Bounciness slider in the Options menu.

My parents must be proud of my choices in life.
