While it strays from the Elder Scrolls legacy and mutes some, if not the majority of its questionably-handled RPG elements, it is well-crafted and wonderful in a way separate from its predecessors. While you won’t find the sometimes off-tilt and interesting characters or antics of the last few games, you will uncover a world more beautiful than every other game this year. Worth it for the sight-seeing alone.
Buy this game now, for enjoy it you shall.
It is simple, challenging, exciting, and indie all in one big bundle of fun. Although the overall mechanic is that of the Total War series (turn-based world-map, real time battles) comparing it to Total War or any other game for that matter would be stumped and difficult at best. When it comes down to it, this game is about making choices on which of the hundred s of people you save and which ones you sacrifice via nuclear device (and other funzies), only to find out next month the whole West Coast has been overrun and you're down to the wire once again. It's despair mixed with comedy juxtapositioned next to a polished, wild, indie RTS.
For all things holy, buy this game now.
As broken as it is brilliant. Leftover console anti-cheat modules and little PC userbase dedication makes the game depressing even when it does run without stutter and lag. (Which is uncommon) The only redeeming factor is that it's incredibly fun.
