The sound track to Bastion is an amazing parallel to the game play; Creative and enthralling, while at the same time darkly ominous. As a musician (failed) and lover of music the this gripping soundtrack is the perfect accompanyment to the game. One is reminded of movies such as Requim for a Dream, in which no other musical parrying could be imagined for the piece.

Several issues plague this game. First of all while i understand the need to control character names to avoid the Chuck Norris's and Leroy Jenkins of the world the special characters convention on this game doesn't allow for spaces. this paired with the with the fact that other people even play this game can make it difficult to so much as name your character. further more thier is no auto generate button which is just kinda lame. Maybe only legendary users get spaces?

Gameplay that harkens back to the hay day of Galaga and Asteroids, matched with the replay value that is only limited by your personal tastes in music. Beat Hazard has to be one of the most interesting and challenging games I have ever played. Unlike other games that sync with your music, Beat Hazard is just as challenging when played with the most ear bursting electronic music in your collection; while still remaining at home with smooth jazz or low rock.

All the gut busting hilarity of the Penny Arcade web-comic, matched with an awesome 1920's Call of Cthulhu world. Not to mention Mimes, Giant Robots, and fruit violating automotons!

With a UI almost Xeroxed from Diablo 1 and 2 Torchlight certainly will not gain any ground for being innovative. However with its simplicity and functionality Torchlight is a worthy waystation while we wait for Diablo 3. Its steampunk-esq cell shaded world offers a visually interesting environ, that is directly contrary to the grim settings of other click-n-slash titles.
