If I had wanted to see a realistic rendition of a ruined and deserted New York, I would have saved twenty bucks and taken the G train to Bensonhurst.

In all seriousness, it's a solid FPS, though the weapon choice leaves a lot to be desired and the RPG elements are so token as to be virtually nonexistent, and I hope the latter will either eliminated or restored to Crysis 1 levels for future games.

It's an excellently designed shooter, but the singleplayer doesn't have a lot in the way of plot or characterization, and the multiplayer gets old fast. If you think gameplay alone can carry a game, this is definitely for you.
