And now...for a profile overhaul. ^^
I am Sci. I'm trying to get onto the Let's Play/game commentary scene, but so far have not made it yet.
But I'm trying something new: a TGWTG-style review show called "Indie Corner." In this show, I will be reviewing various indie games to get them more attention (because seriously, it's tragic how some of these amazing games never get any attention). These episodes will be uploaded here on my Steam account, so you can either watch them here or on my actual YouTube account (see link below).
I'm also part of a Left 4 Dead custom campaign review gang, called The Misfitz. Any relation to a certain hair metal band are unintentional.
Favorite games ever are Portal and Portal 2 (mainly because Portal 1 was the first real videogame I ever played). To the point where I've gotten games simply because they had Portal-esque aspects or DLCs. To the point where I bought a pair of Long Fall Boot socks, even though I hate wearing socks.
Another game I include at Portal-level of favoriteness(?) is inMomnentum. It's a first-person sci-fi racing game with an amazing soundtrack and the ability to make you feel like you're flying. This game is to me what testing is to Wheatley.
Some of my other favorite games include Fallout: New Vegas, Amnesia: Dark Descent, Left 4 Dead (1 & 2), Killing Floor, Sanctum, Defense Grid, QUBE, and The Ball.
I'm also a puppeteer and ventriloquist (well, trying to be). I currently have five performance puppets, three just-for fun puppets, and one puppet that I am recycling from an old Elmo doll.
I'm in college to get a major in maritime studies, which is a liberal arts major. With it, I'm either going into aquariums, museums, or education. Don't know yet. Also getting minors in English and marine biology.
I listen to all sorts of music. Classical, metal, pop, rock, gospel...it doesn't really matter. If I like the way it reverberates in my ears, then I'll gladly listen to it. Favorite musicians/bands include Arjen Antony Luccassen, Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Robot Science.
I love reading. Love the classics, love science fiction...love the classics of science fiction...only book genre I can't stand is harlequin romance, because of the fact that it is a genre that usually seems to uplift abuse as a sign of true love. Which is also why I hate Twilight. Grrrrh. Anyway, favorite books include Moby Dick, The Ship Who Sang, and Northanger Abbey.
If you want to trade with me, I'm open to offers. Especially if you're offering Portal 2 flags or skins. 8D
And if you want a 25% off or 33% off Valve title coupon (they expire in March 2012), come see me. ;-)
As for multiplayer, I don't really like playing with people I don't know very well. Shyness and all that. ^^;
That's all from me.

A Call for Communication (Half-Life) - Public
Message to Valve
The lack of communication between Valve and the Half-Life community has been a frustrating experience. While continued support for current and future products is greatly appreciated, fans of the Half-Life series have waited years for a word on when the franchise will return.
So, Instead of focusing efforts in a negative and disrespectful way, we have decided to gain Valve's attention by delivering a basic message:
Your oldest and longest running fanbase would like better communication.
Waiting patiently for over four years can be challenging as a fan, especially when E3 comes and goes without any sign of the Half-Life series and its continuation. Valve had stated that information was scheduled to be released towards the end of 2008, and we believe that if they have chosen to change those plans, fans should be acknowledged, regardless of developmental plans for the next Half-Life project.
The entire trilogy of episodes was scheduled to be completed and released by 2007, and if Valve have decided to do other things for the time being, that is fine; all that we ask for is a basic response on the matter, and to let fans know whether or not the current story arc is scheduled to conclude at another point in time.
In addition: This message is in no way, shape or form attempting to rush the development of the Half-Life series; in fact, most members agree that Valve should take the time needed to deliver a complete and polished product.
If you agree with the above message and statements, please join this group and share your support constructively.
Hopefully such attention will be recognized by Valve, and the community's voice will be heard.

A work of art. That's the best description of this game. The visuals are astounding. And when you realize that every background, every character, and every detail were completely hand-drawn...well, that makes the visuals twice as astounding. The soundtrack is catchy and fits perfectly with the visual style and tone of the game. To repeat: this is a work of art that should be in everyone's game directory.
This game is fun. Now, when I say "fun," I mean that it is FUN. Pure, unadultered FUN. It's the sort of game where you can play as an exploding compsognathus, which should say enough. Of course, there are some people out there who want realistic, serious games. People who get offended because someone else's dinosaur does not match what they pictured as said dinosaur. This game is very tongue-and-cheek about everything it does. It's a war game with dinosaurs, and it knows it. It's a beautiful sense of humor that also makes this game a winner. As well as the community; it's a small, friendly group of people who will help you out if you're a beginner. In short, if you have a sense of humor and a love of dinosaurs, then this is the game for you.
A wonderful behind-the-scenes look at the making of Portal 2. This is the first eBook I've ever purchased, and I am wonderfully pleased with it. The interactivity with polls and videos made it a nice touch, turning this book into a strange mixture of literature and television documentary. That said, if you don't like reading and/or were expecting another full-length game or something, this is not a purchase for you. However, if you love reading, love Portal, or love both, then give it a try!
