This game is just awesome. The scenery is great and isn't stale. Environments are colorful ranging from tropical, desert, and even artic condition. Game is your typical twin-stick shooter. The game really shines in co-op. Supporting up to 4, you can race your friends to see who can get the higher score/kill streak. While doing this you do your best to obstruct each other by using yourself as a ramp or pushing them off a cliff. The writing in the story is what you expect out of a B action movie, corny jokes and random explosions. It's all great though.

The Coldstrike DLC is fairly short, as it is in three missions. It's short and sweet but I wouldn't pay $5 for it.

If Audio Surf and a twin stick shooter had a baby, Beat Hazard would have been the newborn. Incredibly fun music twin stick shooter. Has a decent difficulty scaling as you progress throughout the game. Not for the light of heart, as this game has incredibly bright lights, which can be tone down, but may not be enough for certain people. Highly recommend getting the Ultra expansion as it builds upon the base game + adding a lot more features.

Best form of meta entertainment of any media type.
