This is seriously the best game I've played all year. I can also say with at least reasonable certainty that it's the best point and click adventure I've played in my entire life, and I've played a lot of them.
I won't discuss the plot whatsoever. Don't read about it. Don't look anything up. Just buy it, play it, and go into it virgin. Pay attention, and watch how perfectly the plot and clues all slot together.
The puzzles are intense and it has the trickiest and most diverse dialogue system i've seen in a video game that didn't involve a parser. (Frankly, it works better for not having one, too.)
Graphically, the game may look faux-retro, but anyone who knows the first thing about AGS (its platform) will know that this game pushes it to its limits. It's also, frankly, beautiful, and the music and voice acting are top notch.
Stop reading this and buy it. If you only play one game of this genre, ever, make it this one.

Unfortunately, someone dropped the ball and there's no right click context menu option in the Steam Library to take you to this game's config utility. Find it in your steamapps/common folder. There, you'll find the AGS config utility that all AGS games use, which will allow you to put the game in a window and set up scaling options if the window's too small.
I recommend using Nearest Neighbour scaling for the prettiest results. Yes, it's pixely, but the game's art was drawn with that in mind, and I personally think filters ruin it.
