This game is exactly why I wish there was a "its great BUT-" option.

Mechanics wise? This game is FANTASTIC. Unbelievably satisfying and so much content I'm STILL working through all of the new stuff that came from the full release. Plus, achievements!

Now onto the negative. The plot is a bit silly. I almost wish there wasn't a plot because it feels somewhat out of place with the game. It doesn't end very satisfyingly, especially considering how much of the plot shows up towards the end. However, the plot truly is an option. You don't have to read any of the blurbs, you can easily just click and move onto the next job.

Also, the amount of computer power this game takes is a bit weird. Some small jobs are jittery, with low frame rate because of the massive unexplorable map the job is located in. If these large maps were explorable I would have less issue with it taking up so much RAM. Alternatively, if there was an option in the graphics settings to lower the render distance of these large maps it would be even better.

There are also some glitches that still haven't been patched which don't necessarily break the game, but definitely lower quality of life.

Overall: I love this game. However, it could be even better. Thank you for the fun time I've had with this, it's been a delight.

This game is difficult for me to decide on whether I enjoy it or not.

There are a lot of features and mechanics, but past that there's no real depth to it. Progression feels meaningless as by the next time you open the game, it's undone everything. There also seems to be so much to do, and yet at the same time it's repetitive very quickly. There are no real rewards to playing the game besides achievements.

This game has a LOT of potential and hits a lot of the qualities I like in these Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing type games. However it seems like someone took a list of everyone's favorite features in these games and stuffed them into one without giving it anything to back it up. Tons and tons and tons of features, but most of it feels empty.

However, the characters are VERY cute. Love the bears.

Every time I open this game I tell myself, "Don't. Cry. This time. Don't do it." And then an hour later I'm bawling my eyes out.

An absolutely stunning game in every aspect. Music, art, characters: EVERYTHING is stunning. You grow SO attached to characters so quickly, making it even harder to let them go when it's their time.

I never thought a video game would make me change some of my perspectives on grief. I lost my mom a few years ago and it's been the hardest time of my life. I didn't get to say goodbye. But somehow this has helped me a bit.

It feels like I've played this game for 100 hours, I'm shocked I've not even hit 30. I'm nearly at the end and I don't want it!!!

Please do yourself a favor and buy this game.

ADDICTIVE. It's become my favorite thing to listen to podcasts too. Easy to zone out and forget stress and just color some damn flowers.

The amount of content is amazing. Been playing for 70 hours and recently got into the point where I'm doing the DLC I've got. And that's just because I was an eager beaver and wanted to get to the Halloween book :P

Stunning art, almost 100 hours of free pages to color, GREAT for touch screen monitors, endless fun. There's even an app! Couldn't recommend more.

At first, Knights of Pen and Paper was VERY fun. I enjoyed the little jabs the GM gave, I felt like I was being challenged fairly, it felt like I was playing a fun little tabletop. I even bought the Halloween DLC because I was having such a good time with it.

But then the challenges became SO exhausting. Toward the end it feels like you're just stuck in mud and can't progress no matter how high you level up. It stopped being fun and became a chore. If you enjoy grinding this game could be for you.

Personally, not a big fan.

This game is way too addictive.

I've had a fun time playing it. The story is adorable, the game is challenging, and the art is gorgeous. Anyone who is a fan of regency novels or solitaire games will get a kick out of this.
