This game is a work of art in every respect. The story is intriguing, with a world that, though small and weak, you become completely devoted to saving. The glimpse into a different culture is wonderful; you can see the non-Western cultural influences in everything from the art to the gameplay. The visuals are breathtaking; from the dark shadows of the metro to the shattered, snow-covered landscape above this game remains gorgeous all over.
The only negative thing I could possibly say about this game is that it requires a very good machine to get the full benefits, graphically speaking. But if you can do it, then this game becomes not only a breathtaking working of art, but bragging rights.
"You can run Crysis at full settings? Oh, that's nice. Try Metro."
"Metro? Pff, that game can't- WHY AM I ONLY GETTING 12 FRAMES PER SECOND!?"
"Now check out mine."
*bursts into tears at the awe-inspiring beauty*
