A near perfect 9.999999/10. The only way it could've been better is if it never ended.

A relatively simple combat system, with an interesting dodging mechanic tied to a - at first glance - no more than easy to make art style may leave passerbys assuming this is yet another half-baked indie game, but it is so much more than that.

Having beaten one of the relatively short 10 hour playthroughs, the game had left me yearning for more. I haven't played a game that has impacted me in such a way in a long time, and even fewer games have made me feel bad for even thinking about taking the easier and shorter route.
From Toriel the "goat mom" to sans and Papyrus' infamous bad jokes, Toby Fox has created memorable characters that feel more alive than just pixels on a screen. A certain flower, lesser dogs and an angry fish girl; they each react differently to your decisions and actions, which are permanent and have a lasting effect on the world you inhabit in the game. Morals are a large part of the story, and at some point, you have to make a choice.
Whether you make a good one or a bad one, is up to you.

Whatever you do - whether you have an inkling of empathy or not - play this game. I am certain you will enjoy it.
