I'm 600 hours in and still unlocking stuff. One of the best roguelike games.

This is basically Yakuza x Dragon Quest, and for that reason alone I must recommend it.

I admit I like the art in this, but I was expecting a deeper story. The developer should have run the script by a native english speaker to give it a quick looking over before publishing it, because it's a mess, with lots of grammatical errors and typos.

The mysterious game that this sinister entity is forcing you to play for your freedom? It's Old Maid with a bluffing system. I was expecting some sort of intricate double fanucci with the demonic host laughing and quipping when the players screwed up, building tension before each elimination. Nope. Old Maid with a bluffing system. So much disappointment.

On the bright side, it was a dollar, and it's got trading cards, if you're into those. Otherwise, give it a pass.

Early Access Review
Okay, I've played a couple of games, and looked around the back room, and read through the tumblr archives of the comic to the beginning, for good measure.

My initial opinion of the game itself is that it plays a great deal like Nintendo's "Popeye" from 1980. You pick up paper airplanes while running from the gator and killing flies with your yoyo, and once per life you can pick up the power-up comic book(?) and devour him instead. Picking up all the airplanes lets you advance to the next lavel.

The back room in which the game is situated is an interesting device in itself. It's a dirty back room that looks like a workshop, given the bins of parts and pile of speakers. I'm wondering if there's eventually going to be an easter egg that lets you open that door and see what's beyond. Perhaps something having to do with the letters that appear when you retrieve each airplane.

Overall, worth a look for $2, and it'll be interesting to see what'll be coming in the future.

Risk of Rain is effectively a video game of "Cast Away" starring Tom Hanks, except instead of a plane it's a cargo-hauling spaceship, Tom Hanks is a soldier with a selection of munitions, Wilson is replaced with an assortment of support drones, and instead of an island it's a hostile planet with absolutely everything trying to brutally murder Tom Hanks.

Besides that, there's really not too much difference.

This is a hilarious parody of The Oregon Trail that is well worth the asking price. Be assured it's more shooter than simulation.

Of all the games in which you play Satan maintaining an apartment block for monsters, this is probably the best.

This is effectively 4-player Smash TV with a level-up system. Excellent game.
