The stealth action is well done and challenging, thanks largely to a cover system so fluid and easy. Diving from cover to cover to hit your targets from behind is a joy do and watch. Having cleared a floor of enemies through silent take downs without anyone knowing what hit them requires patience, decisiveness, and tact. Stealth is immensely reqarding in this game.

Human Revolution is more linear than the original Deus Ex, but does offer alot of room to explore. Should you go hard and out gun the opfor, you'll rewarded with moments of respite to thoroughly search the premises for intel, supply, and weapons. The gun play is solid enough for seasoned FPS players to apply their accumen to their advantage. The game rewards you for efficient marksmanship and kills in general. Aiming has tight response and gun animations are very good.
