We are the last of the great "public" Dustbowl servers still trying to keep a 11 year old map popular for an 12 year old game! It doesn’t matter if you are a new player, an infrequent player, a long-term player, or some hard-corp clan member that doesn’t know how to let go. The server settings and game rules are balanced to encourage new players to keep coming back but also to ensure that the majority of players can still have their “good game.” Everyone is welcome here! This is not a clan server. Our admins are chosen by the regular players of our community server. You will never see an abusive admin on our server! There are no admin or server tags, because we are a REAL community that accepts everyone equally. Clan servers exclude people; our server does not!!!

WE PICKED THE NAME TWENTY FIRST CENTURY because we do things on this server that no other server can do or has ever done. We run elite bots; we have the only demo bot that pipes cap, engie bots that giver armor, build teles, and build sg's at cap, and bot hwguys that defend bridge on Cap 3. On the weekends we run Party Mode where we show off various 21st century mods that we made ourselves just for the Dustbowl map. For example, we let Red team spawn with full armor and 2 normal nades . . . something no other server allows! That makes it more fair for Red team and helps bring balance back to the game that script kiddies distorted over the years with scripts made just for the Blue team. We also have Demo Quick Det enabled on our server, which no other server has. This turned the Demoman into a real fighting class. We have a plugin written just for our server called Superjump, which has turned out to be a huge hit. We even gave the Scout a powerful Samurai Sword.

SO WHY THE WEIRD GROUP NAME THAT DOESN’T EVEN MATCH OUR SERVER’S NAME? We used to have a place we could all play without fear of war-mongering admins. But it was a clan server. One of the clan's admin in particular (saxon) started driving off all the vets, so this group started in the hopes that our numbers would convince the server operators to make some changes. But the clan’s other admins who barely ever played Dustbowl, rallied around their fellow admin. The atmosphere on that admin’s clan server became bad, and it was clear that we didn’t have a real home. Something had to be done to provide a true public and community server with managers who understood what new and long-term players wanted. . . a community with managers that know how to balance and make compromises for the real players who keep the server going! So this group name serves as a reminder from where we all came from so that we don’t make the mistakes those before us made.
